Summary

Midlife is madness - magical, messy, and one freaking crisis after another.

With a new job I didn’t apply for and an extended family I didn’t know I had - midlife has become somewhat problematic. Gluing ghosts back together is easy compared to my new celestial occupation.

The Grim Reaper wants to put a ring on it. Tim wants to be a father. Candy Vargo has lost her damn mind, and Jennifer thinks we’re all sparkly vampires. I’ve been given an impossible task with catastrophic consequences for failure, but it wouldn’t be my midlife without another crisis.

What’s the saying? When in Crazytown, embrace the insanity or go insane. It’s time to lean into the madness. I’m putting down roots, pulling up my big-girl panties, and getting down to business. With one month to succeed, it’s time to grow a bigger pair of lady-balls and play in the big league.

The rules are unclear. However, when it’s a matter of midlife and death, I’m making the rules. And I will win.

finished in 1 sitting

This series is soooooo good. It is hilarious and made me laugh out loud often. It's really fast paced and full of preposterous situations, and dialogues. Their USA southern accent and colloquialism is really funny and the narration is amazing too.
There is no spice but the story is so good and funny it's not needed.
Ends on a cliffhanger.

Enough with the Cliffhangers!

Dear Ms Peterman, your writing is good. I would come back even if there was no cliffhanger. 6 books in and I am still hanging on every word as the plot unfolds, but for the love of a good cocktail, let Daisy breathe! Let the story end with some resolution so we can imagine her having at least a week off before she needs to save all her friends and family again. Sheesh!

Auditory technicolour

I can't get enough of this. Jessica is brilliant with all the different voices and it's bringing the story to life in full auditory technicolour!

Fast paced and utterly brilliant

Great storytelling throughout the series. The way the author uses some repeat fraises to describe reoccurring scenes are so smart. The dialogues are amazing and hilarious and the characters with their southern colloquialisms are truly funny and endearing. On to the next!!
