Perfection

Since the moment I started to read this book I was a goner.
The blurb intrigued me and once I started to read, it was impossible to stop.
I've posted my longer review when I finished reading and I wish you all give this series a go.
I thought that nothing could make this book decent better, but not, was I wrong.
these voices just came to reinforce my love for this book.
oh Daddy Drake... with that voice... Dayum...
loved the audio.

Serendipity Book One

This book took me by surprise as I'm not usually a love triangle fan but the way this is written (especially with the story taking places over a significant period of time) just made it work and it helped make Sia's character development and reactions more realistic rather than being rushed.

My first impressions could not have been more wrong; I really didn't like Drake nor Rayden to be honest when we first met them but as the story develops and you find out why they are like that by the end they both won me over. The pacing was a little slow to start but once the inevitable love triangle starts I was invested and the plot twists towards the end were so good!

I also wasn't expecting it to make me as emotional as it did! I teared up a few times (the ice rink really got to me early on) and there were moments which just broke my heart as when no-one was getting out of this unscathed. I also loved Sia and Ravash's relationship; Ravash was a particular highlight for me and I would love to get his story at some point!

The narrators did a great job with the story and this really worked having three separate cast members. Aiden Snow was commanding as Drake, likewise Connor Hayes played Rayden with just the right amount of bravado as a sure of himself twenty something while still keeping him likeable and Yami Habibi completely brought Sia to life.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely and I have added all the authors works to my TBR

By the end, I liked it!

Up until half way through the book, I was really unsure about this one and almost switched to another book. But I don’t believe in not finishing, and I’m glad I persevered! Overall, I’d give this four stars. I liked the story, really liked Drake and Ray and felt for Sia being torn between the two. What I struggled with was the female narrator; I initially found her voice a little abrasive and some of the dialogue really childish and predictable. But the book just grew on me, as did the female narration, which to me had a more mature tone from midway onwards. I had no intention of continuing with the series at one point, but I have bought the second book. Am hoping the series continues in the same vein as the second half!

What a start to the series!

I’ve been waiting for this series on audiobook form for so long and I’m glad to say it didn’t disappoint. Yes there is cheating, but not all is as it seems. Chance encounters, secrets and lies, and that’s just Drake’s ex wife. Lol
I honestly can’t wait to jump into book 2 because the end of Intoxication blew my mind!
The narrators did a fabulous job! It took me a little while to get used to Yami’s narration, but once I did I couldn’t put the book down. Aidan was, as usual, wonderful with his deep timbre and ability to draw you in. Connor was new to me, and at times thought he reminded me of another narrator. All in all a fabulous story performed well. Highly recommend!

Intriguing & Intoxicating! Amazing Story & Listen

This is my first Charlene Namdhari book and consider me impressed by her writing style and the interesting storylines she created. I was told it was best to go into this story knowing as little as possible and with an open mind, and I am glad I did. The story grabbed my attention right immediately and held it captive straight to the end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they were intriguing too. I adored the main characters Sianna and Drake and the unexplainable chemistry they shared. They had several chance encounters at different locations, brief encounters but memorable ones. When they meet again he is determined to have her and propositions her, but he does not know if she will take him up on it. Sianna is younger than him, but she is not like any woman he ever met and despite the short time knowing her, he knows he wants her. He was ecstatic when she showed up and had the best time of his life with her. He had more plans with her except she left him, without a number or last name. Sianna had her reasons and as much as it hurt her to she needed to move on, from him, her aunt and make a life for herself. Then she meets another, builds a wonderful relationship, but struggles with falling in love because she lost her heart to Drake. But fate was not finished with her and he comes back into her life, and she was not sure what to think about seeing him again. I loved the complexity of the characters and the layers of the story and its originality. The wonderfully plotted story has plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Charlene Namdhari, thank you for this amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧And for the amazing narration, Aiden Snow, Connor Hayes and Yami Habibi were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that suited that character’s persona and was believable in every role they played. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotional and had you feeling each one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen.

Brilliant story!

The Serendipity series is one I’ve been looking forward to coming to audible. I have read this series and it’s one that I love, so it’s been great having a re-read via audio.

Story wise it’s still up there as one of my favs. Forbidden, angsty and spicy! Please note that there is cheating involved in this story, but it all works out the right way in the end. You will definitely fall in love the two men that Sianna has to choose between, but have faith in Charlene. The ending is how it should be.

Regarding the actual audio and the narrators, I enjoyed it immensely. Aiden, who I’ve listened to before is definitely perfect for Drake. His tone just runs through you in all the good ways. He has that older, alpha man voice to a tee. Connor Hayes who narrates Rayden, again suits the character really well. I can’t wait to hear more from him. My only little issue was with the female narrator. She has a lovely tone, which is perfect for Sianna and her accents were really good. I just wished her ‘male voices’ were a little more deeper. At times it was hard for me to tell the difference between Male and Female characters talking. All three narrators did a fab job.

A great start to the series on audible, can’t wait to hear the rest!

Wonderful 5 🌟 book! 😍

This is about love, how complicated and messy it can be, and more importantly, how fate can play an intricate part.

I agree with the author that it's best to go in blind to enjoy the ride, but if age gaps, cheating or love triangles aren't your thing, don't read it.

I was absolutely riveted with the story, not being able to put it down. That says volumes as I can't remember when I last did that!!!

The narrators knocked it out the park. Aidan can purr to me any day of the week and was purrrfect for Drake. Connor sounded just like JF Harding and again, was perfect casting. Yami is a new narrator to me and again captured the essence of Sia.

Sianna &

This book was a more than I was expecting. Drake was not your typical arrogant powerful CEO, he had depth, feelings, he was kind and did not rule his multi million company with an iron fist; Rayden is young and passionate and loves deeply. At such young age he has dealt with too much heartbreak; Sianna has lost her parents too young and learnt to fend for herself from a very young age. Her world was small but all she needed was an opportunity.
This love triangle has all the vibes of an explosive story but it needs an open mind. The world is not black and white and we all think before acting, think with our hearts and not with our brains in the heat of the moment. Is the premises a bit unlikely? Perhaps, but is it unreasonable or impossible? Not at all. The book is schteamy and smexy but it also pushes boundaries that one must be ready to read/listen to.
I’m my case I felt the book had a little bit too much inner monologue and the characters were constantly explaining and justifying their choices and past events. Backstory is important but it doesn’t need to be over developed. However these sometimes overly thought explanations of something gave me an insight to many other character’s personalities that I’m hoping will show in future books.

This audiobook could not be complete without the brilliant Aiden Snow’s narration as Drake, Connor Hayes as Rayden, bringing a beautiful broken young man to life and Yami Habibi as Sianna.
