Summary
Homicide detective Tori Hunter was used to doing things her way. But even after six different partners in seven years, she was not prepared for the hot-tempered Samantha Kennedy. Samantha, on the other hand, was trying to juggle a new job and a demanding boyfriend and now finds herself with an even greater challenge - being partnered with the most difficult detective in the entire squad. After a brief terrorist scare disrupts their serial killer investigation, the two women find themselves growing closer. Sam begins to question the relationship with her longtime boyfriend, and Tori, never one to allow anyone to get too close, begins to feel her defenses slipping in Sam's presence. While facing a serial killer and drug deals gone bad, the two detectives struggle with their feelings, trying to maintain their professional relationship while keeping their nearly flammable physical relationship in check.

There should be warnings on this ..
I like it. It's got some good crime-fighting. There are 2 sexual assaults, scenes, in this. Which could have been handled a little bit better! But apart from that, it is quite good. liked it because it was a bit like a lesbian Lauren & order My cup of tea might not be yours..

Amazing how strong and senistive these awesome women are.
there should be more of them and in real life.

every now and then a book reaches inside you and the world outside stops as you dissolve into the story , Jae and Radclyffe do this often,
this is the best of gerri hills' work, remarkable writing and indepth characters. I think this affects the narration, as abby craden gives a marvellous performance.

Loved it.
My first book from this author, it was definitely a good purchase. The story was good, the narrator did a great job to. Will definitely be reading/listening to some of her other novels.

Thoroughly Enjoyable
I do love a good romance, this is not my first Gerri Hill, and whilst some of the content here is a tad predictable there are twists within that really made the audio book a great listen. The great listen made even better by Abby Craden. I actually finished this wanting more as I completely invested into these characters. I would definitely recommend for any romance and crime fans.

EXCELLENT
Loved the way the characters were brought to live. The love story going on did not distract from the criminal story line it enhanced it. Can't wait for all her books to be available on Audible.
