Summary

Shortlisted for the Crimefest Last Laugh Award and the Crimefest eDunnit Award 2019.

Reluctant spy. Trained assassin.

Whose side are you on?

Jay Qasim is back home in West London and in pursuit of normality. He’s swapped dope-dealing for admin, and spends his free time at the local Muslim Community Centre or cruising around Hounslow in his beloved BMW. No-one would guess that he was the MI5 spy who foiled the most devastating terrorist attack in recent history.

But Jay’s part in sabotaging Ghurfat-Al-Mudarris’ hit on London didn’t pass unnoticed.

Imran Siddiqui was trained to kill in Afghanistan by the terrorist cell who saved his life after his home was destroyed by war. The time has finally come for him to repay them – throwing him headlong into the path of Jay Qasim.

Now, they must each decide whose side they’re really on.

Have to ration this as it is so compelling!

I love these stories, far more than just a thriller and the performance is amazing.

Absolutely brilliant read!

I love this 2nd book just as much as i did the first one and am absolutely elated to find out there is a 3rd one!
This book really has it all, action, drama, insight, sadness and a lot of laugh out loud bits too. Jay's character is just brilliant throughout, so loveable and the narrator really brought him to life to beautiful. That is just how i heard his accent in my head from having read the first book.
I cant recomment this book highly enough. it works pretty well without having had to read the first as the narrator gives enough detail to keep u in the loop.
The other characters are just brilliant too.
The story has enough meat to it to keep you hooked and desperate to know more and listen to just another chapter. I really hope they make a film out of these books one day as it would be SO much better than The Kingsman.

Brilliant

Book 2 and still a great story, goes on a bit in the middle but still a fantastic sequel and the performance just perfect, writer and performer are just a class act together 5 out of 5

Extraordinary, brilliant story.

I couldn’t stop listening, the narration is brilliant and the story gripping. The author reveals a multicultural society and all its pain and conflict with great sympathy and humour through an absolutely gripping story.

On repeat

Bit annoying that so much of the first book is repeated in the second. Padding? Otherwise a great story with a well thought out twist.
