Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
The eighteenth Cliffehaven Novel by Sunday Times bestselling author Ellie Dean.
Peace has finally been declared in the Far East, but for those living at Beach View Boarding House, the news brings mixed emotions.
Peggy Reilly is devastated that her husband Jim will not be coming home for Christmas. And Sarah and Jane, who have lived at Beach View throughout much of the conflict, dread what they will find when they go back to Singapore.
Life in Cliffehaven is in a whirlwind of change as the men return from the war and Peggy’s evacuee chicks begin to spread their wings and start new lives in different corners of the world.
Peggy and Jim have longed to be together after so many years apart, but war has left them profoundly changed. Can they rekindle the loving, close relationship they’d shared before?

The Cliffhaven series
I'm gutted now I've finished listening to all the Peggy Riley/Cliffhaven books. I loved Ronan and naughty Harvey his beloved dog. Thank you so much Ellie Dean for these lovely books. And Julie Maisey was my favourite narrator. Oh well, guess I'll have to start at the beginning again!

Good finish to a wonderful saga!
As the final part in the Cliffhaven series this book met all expectations. It gave closure to the stories of the residents and family of Beach View Boarding House. The journey Ellie Dean has taken her readers on throughout all 18 books in the series has been superb. With love, loss, grief, fear and happiness in every story the reader finds themselves engrossed and wanting more. This is without doubt the best WW2 saga I have ever read and look forward to discovering what other exciting tales this author will bring to her readers.
Well done Ellie Dean and thank you for bringing this wonderful alternate reality to my life.

Sad to come to the end of a lovely series of books
Really sad that I have come to the end of these books. Hopefully Ellie Dean will be writing more in the not too distant future.

Wonderful!
I have enjoyed all of the novels in the Cliffehaven series - Ellie Dean is one of the best story tellers I have had the good fortune to find.
So homely and real characters throughout - the books have made me laugh and cry - what more can I say!

Bad finish
Hope the next one is coming out soon, had to wait a year for that and was so disappointed with the ending.
