I really hope there is a sequel.

I throughly throughly enjoyed this audiobook. 10 out of 10. I didn't even realise this was a job! I would very much like to hear more medical adventures from Dr. MacFarlane. Narration was also excellent.

Loved this from beginning to the end. Was gutted when it finished, brilliant stories and well put together.

Excellent

Make me, as a 53 yr old bricklayer want to go to med school :) What a job, good and bad. Had this sitting there for a while not knowing if I fancied it but couldn’t stop listening. Excellent narration.

A fantastic read (listen)

This is most definitely the doctor I would want beside me in a crisis. A very modest doctor who shows great compassion, empathy and kindness to all his patients. Clearly very competent in his field also. This book was sometimes hilarious and incredibly sad too, at times. I loved listening and genuinely was disappointed when it finished. I really hope the author writes another. He seems like such a lovely person not just a doctor. Would love to read more of these stories!

Excellent

I really enjoyed this book. Fascinating stories, a likeable author, and well narrated. Made me want to travel the world, and also feel lucky to have my health. Learn a lot about this line of work too. Excellent

Excellent listen.

What a challenging job this is. Sure you get to see the work and maybe fly in a Leer Jet but goodness it’s down to you when the proverbial hits the fan. You have to be super confident and resourceful plus dealing with jet lag and airports…all the travel nightmares but with someone sick to repatriate in the mix. Dr Macfarlane is certainly who you want on your team. Certainly gives you an insight into a job I’d never given a thought to. I hope I’m lucky enough never get to be on the receiving end of their care. You see the best and worst of people under pressure and scared, sometimes for their lives.
Excellent narration, highly recommend this listen.

Great read if you’re not squeamish

Great funny book, it’s very insightful and easy listening. It can be a little graphic at times, if you like your funny medical books, this is a must!
