Summary
USA Today best-selling author Nora Phoenix continues the contemporary gay romance series The Foster Brothers with Hadley, who falls for the worst guy possible: his grumpy billionaire boss.
Sebastian LeClerc is richer than Midas. He’s also a grumpy a**hole, a playboy, and the world’s worst boss. At least, according to Hadley, who was crazy enough to take the job as Sebastian’s PA.
Big mistake. Huge.
Sebastian may look like Richard Gere, but he's nowhere near that charming. Everyone cowers and seeks cover when he's in the room. Hadley can't believe Sebastian's really that bad and that there has to be a reason for his bad attitude, but he seems to be the only one.
Except Sebastian does seem to appreciate Hadley, calling him his sunshine. And when something nice comes out of his mouth on occasion, Hadley’s heart is all aflutter.
Oh no.
It can’t be.
Has Hadley fallen for his boss?
Hired is the second book in The Foster Brother series, a contemporary MM romance series about four men who chose to be brothers that can be enjoyed as stand-alones. It has a grumpy billionaire boss, a sunshiney assistant, falling for the boss, hella hot chemistry, and a sweet guy who soaks up praise like a dying plant.

The grump and the sunny PA
I adored Hadley. His positive attitude, his organizing skills, his tenacity - and he knits! He doesn't give up when his grumpy new boss fails to give him directions as to what he's supposed to do and teaches him a thing or two about being a boss - and a man - along the way. I love the Foster brothers and I am already looking forward to the next one. John Solo did an amazing job as usual ❤️

Fabulous
I adore Hadley and Sebastian, and I loved their story. I do feel envious of Hadley's PA skills though!

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧Gripping & Heartfelt!
I loved everything about this audiobook, from Nora Phoenix’s wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrator who brings it all to life. I adore the Foster’s brothers, their back story, the camaraderie and bond they share is absolutely amazing and just tugs on my heartstrings. The second book is Hadley’s story, and it is a wonderful “opposites attract” office romance, a grumpy boss and his smart and bubbly assistant. Hadley’s friend, who is sick, asks him to cover for her in her new job as a personal assistant. He accepts and goes in blind and it turns the person he is assisting is not the easiest person to work for. Mr. Sebastian LeClerc may have contributed to the success of the company he is running, but he is unsuccessful at managing it. It did not take Hadley long to figure out what Sebastian’s problem was or rather problems, which included himself. Sebastian has gone thru over twenty personal assistants in the two years he has been CEO, a position he took over from his father, and Hadley is up for the challenge determined not to be a statistic, another of LeClerc’s personal assistants. I love, love, loved Hadley, how he handled Sebastian without Sebastian even knowing it and the back-and-forth dialogue between them was fabulous. Watching these two units as a team was great to watch and even great when it moved to another level. I loved how everything played out in this book, the wonderfully plotted story has a perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions, low angst, some humor and witty dialogue and some hot loving. Nora Phoenix, thank you for another wonderfully entertaining story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, John Solo is the perfect narrator to bring these characters and their story to life. He has a complete understanding of the characters he portrays, gives each a voice that suits that character’s persona, sounds believable in every role he plays and just as I picture the character to sound. You could hear how much heart he he puts into his work as he captures the character’s emotions, projects them into his performance and has you feeling every single one. John Solo is an entertaining storyteller and his talent has no bounds as a versatile voice Thank you for another exceptional listen it is always a pleasure to listen to your audiobooks.

Great story and great audio performance!
It’s been quite a while since I’ve read or listened to a Nora Phoenix book so when I got the chance for a review copy of this audiobook, performed by one of my favorite voice actors, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. I am so glad I listened to this book!
This is a great grump/sunshine story. Sebastian has gone through personal assistant (PA) after PA with most of them not sticking around even a week. Hadley’s friend is assigned to be Sebastian’s PA through the company that they both work for. When Hadley’s friend gets sick, he agrees to take her place temporarily.
Sebastian is pretty much a jerk to everyone but Hadley doesn’t hesitate to give back as good as he gets and Sebastian respects that. Hadley soon has Sebastian’s life so organized that he doesn’t know how he managed before Hadley was there (spoiler: he didn’t manage at all!).
This book had all of the elements I love in a good romance: likeable characters (even Seb was likeable eventually), just the right amount of humor and an engrossing story. You can easily read/listen to this as a standalone. I haven’t read book one but now I’d like to. This really was a great story!
I can’t forget to mention the fantastic performance by John Solo. I love the way he acts/performs the story; it always allows me to feel like I’m watching a performance rather than just listening to one.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Hadley and Sebastian
Working for the richest and single gay man of Seattle was only going to be temporarily. But after two months, Hadley is still working as an assistant to Sebastian and has turned the man into a much more agreeable person and they have become friends. Friends that could have benefits maybe? As long as it's not becoming a relationship, on which they both agree. Because Hadley doesn't do relationships as it only results in being hurt. But for Sebastian their status of friends with benefits turns to be much more rather quickly, especially the way Hadley shows him how he could organise his workload in a much better way so he has more time to do what he loves most and that's developing their products instead of only be the CEO and conduct meetings all day. But Sebastian knows he has to go slow with Hadley if he doesn't want him running off. Hopefully his brothers have some wise words to help Hadley along. This book is one of the less complicated books written by Nora Phoenix. It's a sweet story and shows us the importance of family, whether it's the real thing or self-made. As always John Solo is the perfect narrator with all the sexy sounds he can make. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is not porn
I thought I have to explain that, because the first chapter is like the first scene in a porn movie: they meet, discuss sexual appetite and although they are employe an boss, they randomly mention what sexual fantasies they have about each other for the next weeks.
After that, we learn to know the characters and what problems the plotline exists of.
It is a mediocre romance and the narration has it's good and bad moments. The bad is the overly emotional expression Solo enjoys so much.
