  • Make some damn money already. The kind you've never made before.

By the end of You Are a Badass, you'll understand why you are how you are, how to love what you can't change, how to change what you don't love and how to use The Force to kick some serious ass.

Did not mention 'God' in the summary

For me it was a complete disappointment because I had such high hopes for this audiobook. I am sorry but the minute an author starts referring to 'God' they have completely lost me and I become disengaged and disillusioned because I do not believe in 'God'. It's perfectly OK to believe in 'God' and it's perfectly OK not to believe in 'God' , however, I feel rather frustrated because if the advice in this book is based on religious beliefs, then it should say so in the summary. If you're going to start referring to God, then please let us know before we purchase.

Didn't finish it

This focuses all on the religious aspect and demands that i keep an open mind to god. Using a so called self help book to promote your religious beliefs isn't useful in anyway. Not everyone requires a god to feel good about themselves.

American Clap Trap

Sorry I didn't like this book and whether I judged it harshly I don't know but I only listened to the first 3 chapters and that was enough the narrators voice is irritating to say the least and the story is full of Americanisms it isn't believable and it didn't help me unlike other self help books I've read .
I don't know why it has such good reviews and only bought it on the strength of that.

Think I've heard all this before....

This is pretty much lessons from many other self help books. If you've read the secret, the chimp paradox or the happiness advantage don't bother with this. If you've not read them, buy them instead!

Same old stuff nothing new

Besides the clever title was a bit underwhelmed by this book. Don't think it offered anything new. Believe in yourself, the universe, stop making excuses and take action that about sums up the book. To me it was just another law of attraction book. Having said all that I liked some of the content and this book would be more suited to those just beginning a journey of self discovery. But would make a great read for first timers

Absolutely spot on!

I have listened to many, many self help audios, read many books and learned a lot. My experience of books by women are they are too soft and floaty and I struggle to relate. However, this lady is amazing. Totally to the point, feisty, funny and most of all manages to blend a go getting, no nonsense attitude with a spiritual approach to life and using the law of Attraction.

It's all about clarity, going after what you want, being truthful with yourself and acting with integrity. Making changes we know we need to make and with Bad Ass attitude. Loved it. Oh and loving yourself and your life. I am going straight into my second listening now, this time with pen ready to list out my action points.

Good Book

I was a bit put of buying this book because of its brash title. I only bought it because it was recommend to me. However, I was pleasantly suprised at how much I enjoyed it. It gives good advice how to be the person you want to be. It is well worth listening to.

I am awesome, I am a badass

I have just started to listen to this book for the second time - I feel like it's one I'll listen to again and again and keep taking more from it. Thank you Jen.
I am not in a desperate situation, I am in a good marriage, I am good with money and manage to save whist still enjoying life, and have just received a great promotion at work - a promotion I didn't think would ever be a reality.
My main childhood hangup is that I was raised to be a future mom & in my head I never needed to be a career woman because I would end up being a stay at home Mom.
Now that I'm 27 and currently have ZERO desire for children [view them as a lack of freedom, of pain, of not getting enough sleep and sacrificing so much of myself and my husband] and have this opportunity it's pretty scary, and my head tries to tell me I can't or I shouldn't, or if I do I won't be able to have kids because I will be too busy. blah.blah.blah.
Since reading this book I have created positive goals, I am thankful for achieving them, I am thankful for all the good that is happening to me and thankful that I am going to be an amazing career woman who can have it all [the awesome high paying job, the family, the supercar, the cleaner].
I even tried meditation, I don't think I've fully connected yet, but I'm going to keep on & be the best, most badass version of myself.
