Insight, Transformation, and Truth - The Power of Prayer
"All prayers are heard and answered," says Caroline Myss. Can that be true? As you come to understand the original role of prayer in personal transformation, you begin to realize that it could be no other way. In The Power of Prayer, Caroline Myss invites you to experience prayer at its deepest and most profound level - as a direct channel into union with God.
"When we pray from a place of inner stillness, our thoughts and words become sacred," Myss explains, "and we can hear the answering call of heaven."
Join her to begin a revolution in the way you pray, as you explore:
There comes a point in our lives when we are called to pray - when we see that our rational minds cannot make sense of the mystery of life, and we realize that we need another way. With The Power of Prayer, Caroline Myss offers new insights into the most important tool available to us on our spiritual journey - and for calling upon the grace that will never fail to guide and shelter us.

Some people find Caroline Myss tone of voice aggressive and arrogant - but it has one purpose: to insult and cast you out of the darkness of your EGO - to WAKE UP, reflect and humble yourself and do good without passing suffering unto others. What a wake up call this recording was for me !!!
Caroline Myss at her most wise and thought provoking
Worth listening to many times which is what I will do
"The Voice of Truth I didn't want to Hear"
This book taught me how to pray . At 66 I thought I knew how to pray...I do now. I'm at a life altering crossroad in my life and because of Caroline's guidance I'll get through this challenging period just fine. If it's true results you genuinely desire this book is for you.
"The healing power of how to pray."
Terrific book! Caroline Myss beautiful describes how important prayer is needed for this world no matter your faith. Uplifting, inspirational and thought provoking. Loved this book!
I felt like this person was doing a stream of consciousness type of off the cuff monologue. It was disjointed and she missed the point for me.
Yes. But it needs to be a lot better.
I'd have her use an outline, type out what she wanted to say, and read it without ranting.
"Myss on the power of prayer in today's world"
Myss traverses the subject of prayer with passion and purpose. She highlights that it is a sacred practice that can affect change personally and collectively. She does not shy away from explaining how we seem to have rejected prayer because of religious associations, basically throwing the baby out with the bathwater. In addition, she also talks about how many often misuse or misunderstand prayer, using it in a superficial sense to ask for more 'stuff'. Myss, in her signature style, puts the ego in its place and demands the upmost respect for the sacredness of prayer development. There are a few suggestions regarding how to pray here and there but I actually like that Myss didn't go into much detail with the hows. Prayer is a personal journey after all and Myss seems to acknowledge this by advising rather than instructing.
"Powerful and Beautiful"
I choose to listen to my beloved teacher Caroline as opposed to reading her material because of the power of her delivery. She is challenging and provoking, and she absolutely shakes me awake both with her unapologetic clarity and the Grace she transmits. This talk completely shifted (matured) my relationship with prayer and my Faith. The prayers she shares are forever more changed in their meaning and depth in my heart.
