Included with the workout is a free Ab Tutorial MP3 audio file that teaches you how to use your breathing to activate and strengthen the deepest layer of your abdominals. These muscles are important because they support your spine, pelvis, and hips so that you get the most benefit from the workout.
The MP3 workout includes easy, effective Pilates exercises that focus on teaching strength, stability and balance. Standing Pilates exercises are included to improve your balance and therefore help minimize the risk of a fall or fracture. Finally, for those of you who are visual learners, a photo-illustrated document is included that shows the exercises in the order in which they are taught. Do this workout two or three times a week and you'll stop, or even reverse, bone loss!
This workout was created by and is taught by Sherry Lowe-Bernie, owner of Personalizing Pilates. I purchased this workout for my mother. She wanted to do something at home because she was not comfortable going to a gym or a studio. She's never done Pilates before and wasn't sure about it. After doing the workout, she called to say she loved it! Really easy to follow (especially with the photographs) and the exercises didn't feel too difficult but she could tell she had worked out. Her balance is not good so the standing exercises are great because its strengthening her hips and giving her confidence when she walks. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
