"“A doubting Thomas testing the waters!”"
I’ve purchased my fair share of subliminal/self-hypnosis material in the past and yes, a good percentage of those purchases were absolute complete unadulterated garbage! There’s obviously no ‘set standard’ for the production of subliminal/self-hypnosis audio material, so there’s a considerable amount of variance when it comes to the stuff.
I’ll admit I had to read a bit about the science of Binaural Beat Brainwave Entrainment, (BBBE) therapy and how it works on the brain, having heard of it, but possessing very little knowledge of the process. You might want to do the same prior to listening to this audio so you can gain a bit of understanding as well.
In my opinion, the ‘Motivate Yourself Subliminal Affirmations: Meditation, Get Things Done, Binaural Beats, Solfeggio Tones & Harmonics, Self Help’, audio, . . . Whew! Try and say that really fast three times in a row, is at the least very interesting to listen to and at best definitely worth looking into a bit more for those who may have an interest in subliminal/self-hypnosis material.
One part of this audio, which I’m completely sold on, is there’s no semi-muffled, almost ominous-sounding voice-overs, e.g., ‘You are getting very, very sleepy’, hypnotic suggestions in this subliminal hypnosis program, so you can listen at any time of the day or night! I’ve listened to this audio-book at work, while power-walking, doing yoga and shortly before retiring for the evening and it’s great!
The pleasantly pleasing and soothing sounds of rushing water, chirping crickets, a thunderstorm, a crackling fire and an intense rainstorm are really nice to relax to, although be warned, the singing aquatic mammals segment will probably grate on your nerves . . . think dentist, high-speed drill, root canal and you get the picture.
So, do I feel motivated? Do I really feel like I want to get things done right away? When I’m handed the ‘Honey Do’ list each weekend, do I eagerly tear into each chore like a dog to a bone?
Honestly speaking, yes I most certainly do! No serious, I really do! True, having only listened about 7-8 times in the past week, I don’t know if it’s a simple matter of what I’ve read about binaural beats, and a touch of psychosoma. But I will admit there’s definitely a increase of mind-body and increased motivation correlation going on as of late, and I will say I’m going to keep listening to this audio-book and I already feel motivated to do so everyday!
"Not worth your money"
I bought this because I wanted it to work...alas no luck. I listened to it every night for almost a month and feel no different.
To make matters worse, there is the weirdest 'aqua' mammals sequence that is Awful to listen to. The first time I heard it I had a few minutes of confusion, trying to figure out what it was...It sounded like sound effects from a really bad horror movie from the 70's. Really annoying.
Save your money. If you want to get things done try repeating your goal to yourself for a full five minutes before you go to sleep every night. Used to work for me and I'm going back to it...and putting this "CD" in the trash.
