In this program Denis Waitley narrates James Allen's famous book, first published in 1903. It is one of the most widely studied self-help books of all time and has had a major impact on generations, thanks to its simple message: "You are what you think".
Denis Waitley, among other well-known authors and speakers, credits this one little book, given to him at age 13, as a life-changing inspiration that led him toward a career in planting the seeds of greatness in others. In the words of Allen himself, "Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Dreams are the seedlings of realities."
A recognized pioneer in the personal-development movement, Denis Waitley is one of the most respected and listened-to voices on high-performance achievement and is the author of 18 nonfiction books. His audio album, The Psychology of Winning, is the all-time best-selling program on self-mastery. As a Man Thinketh, in audio format, is a must-listen-to program for those who believe in the law of attraction; its object is to stimulate men and women's discovery and perception of the truth that they are the makers of themselves.

Too many audio books are read by 'have a go heroes' who don't sound convinced or passionate about the content. This performance was the complete opposite. It was an authoritative and convincing performance by a reader clearly invested in the book's message. His cadence was just right and his timing perfect. I felt like I was listening to the original author, and that allowed me to take in more of the content. As a man thinketh....indeed!
Really love this book, there are so many profound truths in here and many simple principles that you can apply in your life to change things for the better. Quality if the audio was great too. Definitely money well spent.
A good reading with some comments applicable to life and adapted for modern day circumstances.

This is a great listen / read and should be heard / read at least once a week!
"Just What I Thought"
Food of thought for the mind. I ate it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking growth and development. I gave it a 5 on all fronts.
"Mind Over Matter"
This book was written over 100 years ago and yet perhaps more relevant today than ever before.
A book that can be read or listened in less than an hour but it's a long-lasting inspirational and motivational guide.
While not an exhaustive explanation on the powers of thought, I his book certainly places the idea succinctly into the foreground of its pages.
The narrator, I must admit, had a rising timbre to his voice that made me expect he was about to start yelling or deliver a powerful point. He would then reset his tonal ascent which was anticlimactic. He was, however, very clear and had a deep love for the content he was reading.
The content stands up to its reputation and is now in my list of "must reads."
not used to being preached at. too much advice on what to do with oiirly constructed over simplified examples of effectiveness
i found the book truly inspiring
his words are to the point
would definitely recommend
"LIKE A BIBLE. THIS BOOK SHOULD BE READ AND RE READ"
