Summary

Tristan Nixon is a very happily married man with a simple life and a wonderful wife. Out of nowhere, his world is turned upside down when his DNA is discovered at a brutal murder scene. And not just any murder scene: a beautiful rich young woman kills her husband. But she isn’t the suspect. Nixon is, because his DNA is all over her lingerie and bedroom, which threatens to ruin his perfect marriage.

He is arrested and freaking out! He has never been in this woman’s house and does not know her or her dead husband. Of course, nobody believes this, least of all Tristan’s wife Torey, whose fairy tale world is crumbling around her. How will this man with a shaky alibi prove that he is innocent?

short and quite predictable

This is a fairly entertaining short story, just 2hrs 42min long.
I found it long on the descriptions of how perfect Tristan's marriage is and rather light on the actual story.
I also think that labelling it as 'thriller and suspense' is rather overstating it, mildly exciting is as far as it got for me.
I also thought that there was an unnecessary number of occasions where an 'F-bomb' was used, I wouldn't want to listen to this on a speaker if there were kids around!
But the biggest disappointment for me was that by the end of the first 30 minutes, I was able to predict almost exactly what was going you happen for the rest of the story.
The performance was adequate, it was fairly obvious which character was speaking and the little tension in the story was projected well.
But for me, this is a story that I will soon forget all about.
