Summary

Miserable and depressed after yet another failed relationship, Dixie has been roped into playing chauffeur on her grandmother and great aunt's annual pilgrimage to Graceland. The only thing worse than being depressed and alone with a pint of ice cream is being depressed and accompanied by a couple of batty septuagenarians with Elvis obsessions.

It's all well and good until the ancient Cadillac breaks down in the middle of nowhere. The only shelter available is at the decrepit, mafia-run Viva Tupelo Hotel and Casino. As they are checking in to the hotel that has seen far better days, Dixie sees the last person she expects: her ex. The man who dumped her without a backward glance.

Nick never wanted to be an undercover agent. He was pretty happy with his IT position in a local field office and the curvy brunette who made his head spin. But by virtue of having the right look and the ability to sing, he was suddenly an Elvis impersonator spying on a mob boss. And the curvy brunette who made his head spin just walked into the middle of his first and only sting operation. He's not sure who's going to kill him first - the mob boss he's burning or the woman who could blow his cover!

Absurdly funny!

Get your funny on with this little gem!

If you like funny modern romances with quirky characters and absurd situations, this is the book for you. This story, despite being short, has a touch of everything - a little za-za-zing, a little suspense, a few mad-as-hatter characters and lots of laughs. The narration was a perfect match for the story and characters.

Sweet and fun!

I was given this book in return for an honest opinion.

This was a very funny story, great to listen to, makes you laugh, think and wish your family was like it. I think the narrator did a great job here, Dixie was a great character, and the narrator's male characters were also really well done. Much easier to listen distinguish each one.

I'd recommend this for anyone who wants a short break from the world. It will leave you satisfied and happy with both the writer and narrator, this was a good choice. And of the two I listened to more recently I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Thank you for letting me into this world for a brief moment.

I will look for more from both these two.
