Summary

Fight to build a free world. Face new enemies. Slay new monsters. Meet new women.

With Aristine at his side, Eden Chain technology will connect Jack's new people as they get ready to go to war, but Kassos - the city of intrigue and fear - is not what it seems.

There's a new threat in the region, known as the Procurators, and they are using the past against Jack and his people - nanobots.

War is coming, and Jack is determined to win at all costs.

Great story and cast

A brilliant series narrated by an amazing narrator. I would get more books based on this narrator alone. makes the story come alive.
this series has been gripping from start to end. Love it and will listen to these again.

Worst commander ever.

I am unsure if this was done on purpose to make him look strong and brave, but the main character is a terrible commander who would rather have his own people die or him be injured than kill his enemies, whom cannot be called civilised by any meanings of the word. Or on his side.

He has drones and air superiority that could take out any approaching threat, but makes no use of them. He has railguns, but makes no use of them. He has the tech and and engineer in his bed to make mobile infantry and armor, but makes no use of them. Explosives? Makes no use of them. Has a general in his bed too... Makes no use of her tactical experience or expertise.

Fantastic

This has been one of the best wasteland series I've come across. I've loved the writing, the narration, and will be sad once I've listened to the last one.

yep theomentum is building .... what's next

I like to go to New places and meet new people and this was filled with solid individuals who with the narration have depth and the world is pretty easy to depict too. well written Nd narrated to get the situation fixed in the duration. I have to say although what I consider a light read in terms of world building this proves that with the right words and yarn spinner it doesn't have to be 20 hours to get the thing across.

a nice saga to infill between heavy reads. and now I am 40+ I feel this is my equivellant to the odd mills and boon in my mother's Day!

4 Out Of 5

As usual the narrative from AC is excellent. The story of this chapter was great too! However, I have reduced a star due to the unrequited amount of sex scenes. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind them, but it just send in the title, Jack, we trying to sleep with every women that had a pulse! Otherwise, a great story yet again. Looking forward to book 5.
