Summary
I’ll never forget that day. It was blisteringly hot, and I begged our mother for an ice cream. As we left you with Dad, I didn’t know it would be the last time I saw your face. Minutes later, we returned to the end of the pier where we had parked your stroller. Dad was asleep on a bench, and your little pink blanket was empty. You had vanished.
Twenty-five years later. The morning of the anniversary of Jess’s disappearance starts like every other for her sister Kate—a rushed school run, a cold cup of coffee, and a quick scan of the news for updates. But when her phone beeps with a message from an unknown number, everything changes.
I know what happened to Jess.
Finally, Kate’s a step closer to getting answers to the questions that have tormented her for so long. Why was her mother so angry that day? How did her father sleep through his own daughter’s abduction? And when the police car came screeching toward the pier, how is it that nobody saw a single thing?
As she drives her young family to the seaside town to meet the mystery messenger, she feels uneasy. Who are they, and why did they reach out now? But before Kate finds out, history repeats itself and her world is turned upside down once more.
Then Kate receives one final, terrifying message…will her pursuit of the truth cost the lives of everyone she has ever loved?
Perfect for fans of Gone Girl, The Girl on the Train, and The Wife Between Us.

DO NOT READ MUNKCHIN1971 review
DO NOT READ MUNKCHIN1971 review before you read, she completely gives away the main part which really ruined it for me (so thanks for that munchkin) even so I really enjoyed the story, wish the narrator had used different voices, she didn’t change when she was doing a man etc

Find Me
Carla is an excellent story teller/writer. This story kept me gripped from begining to end, lots of twists and turns along the way.
Baby Jess gets left with her dad and disappears presumed drowned at sea, did she drown? what did really happen? I don't want to give anything away definitely a must read. 💯

Story that kept you guessing
Enough red herrings to keep you wondering. Few things not really too sure about by the end…why exactly was Kate so obsessed? A good story but not my favourite Carla Kovach book.

Another great story from Carla Kovach.
I'm a huge Carla Kovach fan and this book didn't disappoint. it's not an edge of the seat thriller with action all the way through but the characters were great and the story was interesting and there's a good twist at the end.

Okay
I usually love this author. The story is okay but let down by the pathetic characters. The protagonist is weak and it is hard to have any sympathy for her. Her husband is a controlling moron. Anyone who tries to force their partner to stop doing something that’s important to them is exhibiting controlling behaviour. Also why on earth should someone tell their partner everything they get up to? As long as one is not being unfaithful we are all entitled to our secrets and privacy. If I want to have a lie down alone I wouldn’t feel the need to make up an excuse to my husband and vice versa. In this book the protagonist has to constantly make up excuses to spend time alone. The author seems to have a mixed up view on what healthy boundaries are in a relationship.

Confusing
Didn’t really know who was who if I’m honest. Was totally confused by the end. A bit boring.

Dull and predictable
Found this a hard read. Repetitive and predictable with some fairly unbelievable parts. Struggled to get to the end
