Summary

"I've seen things you people would not imagine: combat ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, and I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die." Although more than a variation on the theme, the opening words of the monologue delivered by the Ray Batty replicant in Blade Runner by Ridley Scott, attributed to screenwriter David Peoples and not in the original story by Philip K. Dick, is one of the most well-known quotes of the last 30 years. Unlike its predecessors of science fiction, such as the saga of Star Wars and 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner did not have amazing special effects.
