When it comes to love, two wrongs may just finally make a right.

Ruth Cardello does it again. This series just gets better and better.
This book is about Charles Dery and Melanie Hanna. We have met Charles and Melanie in the first book Taken, Not Spurred. This book is one hard decision after another for the 2 main characters. I have loved Melanie since the first book and she says what is on her mind. I wasn't a huge fan of Charles from the first book but I have slowly warmed to him during this book. All of characters from the first book are here and loads more.
Charles and Melanie make decisions that affect them and everybody around them. New York and Texas are places I want to visit because of this book. Charles doesn't want a family, he just wants Melanie. Melanie wants Charles but has to put her son first.
Love this story!!!
I would recommend any of Ruth Cardello books.
"great light read."
loved it. a real feel good story that keeps your interest. i can't wait for the next story.
"Loved the characters!"
4.25 Stars: Story
2 Stars: Narrative
There is so much to love about these characters. From the hero and heroine to Melanie's adorable son. I could feel Charles' pain even though the reason for it is a bit weak. Melanie's pain was much more understandable. Many of her decisions from her past did greatly influence her life.
I did not care for the narrator at all. While she did give the characters distinctive voices, some of them were really bad. Charles sounded like he had a stick stuck up his rear end! David's voice was just plain annoying.
Overall, I really enjoyed Melanie and Charles' love story a lot, and I'm very glad I found this series. Happy reading!
"Great book! "
Great book to read! I am looking forward to the next book to read. Hurry April!
"Loved the laughs"

The cabin where they play all the naked games :)
When Tony realizes that Sara was right and goes about making peace with his past so he's the person he needs to be before he goes to collect her.
If you are a fan of Ruth Cardello's books you will enjoy this. If you are fan of cute, funny love stories than this is listen for you
This is an awesome series; this is the second book in The Lone Star series and was written by Ruth Cardello and narrated by Marian Harris. Melanie Hanna is traveling to New York to tell an old flame that he is the father of her young son. Charles Dery’s sister asks him to look over and protect her friend Melanie while she is in New York. Charles tries to deny his attraction to Melanie, but when she is almost killed he will do anything to protect her.
The narrator Marian Harris, did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. I have listened to several books by this narrator and have loved every one, and I am looking forward to listening to more books by her. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.
This book has a great story; if you are looking for a great romance with some humor, then you need to get this book. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
"I loved this story waiting for more"
This story had such meaning for me. It has made me think of finding my own second chance. You can't stop now what will happen with Dave? He is a vital character but a loner can't wait to see how you bring him out of his shell
"Just awful performance."
Could not even get through this audible the performance was so horrible. Good grief have you never actually heard a Texan speak??? It may be a great book but I will never know. The reader just ruined it.
The lead female voice was so annoying. It really grated on my nerves. The male voices sounded very unrealistic. Story was extremely improbable.
"Seriously good!!! A great read start to finish."
It was great. Believable characters, great story.
All the conversations with little Jase were great. I haven't enjoyed a book this much in a very long time.
She does a great job with voice inflection. It's not difficult to distinguish characters, which I find with other voice artists.
This is a good story and has interesting plot. But, I hated the narration. The female protagonist voice was pure whine.
