After losing her parents in a car accident and her sister to a house fire, Christy Reed has been mired in grief. Life is finally starting to feel normal again when an envelope arrives in the mail - addressed in her sister's handwriting. And the note inside claims she is still alive.
FBI Special Agent Lance McGregor, a former Delta Force operator, is assigned to reopen the case, but he's coming up with more questions than answers. If Ginny Reed is still alive - who is the woman buried in her grave? Where is Ginny? And is Christy a pawn in a twisted cat-and-mouse game - or the target of a sinister plot? As he digs deeper, one thing becomes clear: Whoever is behind the bizarre ruse has a deadly agenda.
Best-selling author and two-time Christy Award finalist Irene Hannon warms listeners' hearts as they root for a romance between Lance and Christy, but she pulls out all the stops as this high-stakes thriller chills to the bone in a race to the finish.

"Really good story"
I have fallen in love with Irene ' s books. The characters are written with great depth and the mystery is very involved.
The narrator did an awesome job, you felt what the character was feeling. I love this author, she is spell binding in all her books.
Very well written, very well read - a mystery that doesn't give its self away until close to the end. Holds your attention. Mystery, love, intrigue and just the right touch of reminding us how close Jesus is in our every day lives.
"Edge of your seat suspense ..."
The hardest part of listening to books by Irene Hannon is waiting for her next book to be released! "Thin Ice" is a great listen. It is superbly written, a perfect blend of edge-of- your seat suspense and romance. Therese Plummer is an excellent narrator. I can hardly wait for the sequel!!!!
"Cheesy storyline with cheesy lines"
Deeper characters. Less mental/verbal drool for the the characters.
If this is how her books are written, probably not, to cheesy for me.
The performance was "ok" but it was hard to listen to the constant inflictions of desire for the characters. The male voice has an egotistical inflection that made for several "eye rolling" occassions
This a wonderful book and the audible version really heightens the suspense. There were even times when I had to walk west and come back later.
"Absolutely loved it!"
Excellent reader. Great story line. Filled with action, twists and some turns. Absolute must hear.
Irene Hannon does it again in this great mystery, suspense novel! I could not stop listening to this story. I can't wait until book 3. I am sure it will be about Flynn the last brother. Well worth reading!
"really looked this book"
the narratetion was very good. the author is great with twists and turns. waiting 4 the 3rd
This was a good story. I don't mind the spiritual focus but I would have liked a little more romance than a kiss at the end.
