British bad boy Sterling Quinn needs a wife. After his great-grandfather, the former prince something or another, passes and leaves him millions, he's shocked to discover the massive inheritance has a clause - he needs to clean up his image and be married in order to receive his millions.
When word gets out that this hottie has royal blood running through his veins, and is on the prowl for Mrs. Right, crazy ex-girlfriends, school-yard crushes, and thousands of other hopeful women flock to his doorstep.
What he needs is a manager to help him sort through the clutter.
Enter Camryn Palmer, PR executive. Camryn has had a front row seat to her friend Sterling's revolving-door of a love-life for years. But when she's hired to clean up his image and manage the hordes of women cruising through his bedroom door, she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. Literally.
Yes, she has secret fantasies about being the one to keep his bed warm - what woman doesn't? He's sinfully attractive, and she wants to kiss that cocky English accent right off his lips, but she's got a job to do. She's a professional through and through, and besides, an arranged marriage could never be a happy one. Right?

Hilarious, especially the few opening chapters as you get used to the two narrators. As a brit i really enjoyed the quirky side of Sterling in The male narrator voice. Both narratives were perfect portrayed for this book and enjoyable storyline. I usually just read books so this was my first audio and will definitely be moving over to audio more.
"A Sweet and Sexy Friends to Lovers Romance"
A very charming and low angst friends to lovers romance.
The story was very addicting and flowed perfectly.
I loved the characters. Both were very likable and the drama between the two was low and the chemistry was high.
This is one of those great Sunday afternoon reads. The story was light-hearted and sweet. There were some moments of heartache or questionability on what would happen next but definitely nothing to get your panties in a knot. :-)
I truly enjoyed both narrators. They were honestly amazing. They both told the story with just the right amount of emotion and passion.
Sterling had the sexiest British accent and was so alpha male when it came to wanting Camryn. John Lange really made Sterlings character come alive!! Ava Erickson was brilliant! I loved her voice and the way she portrayed Camryn. She made Camryn come across as pure and sweet which is hard to find with female narrators in my opinion, so I highly applaud her.
This British bad boy and his PR Executive learn what it's like to be between a rock and a hard place and its was extremely enjoyable getting to experience their journey at overcoming their obstacles to get to their happily ever after!!
A Great Read that I highly recommend to all my fellow romance readers!!
It was so ravishing...I couldn't get enough of this book...was such a great experience for my first listen.
The story was contrived, the narration was not what I'd hoped for. The cover art was not a depiction of the male character. Don't know who it was supposed to be.
"A HOT MESS!"
The love story between Cami and Sterling had potential but the premise was too scattered, the plot was under developed and the family relationships and friendships were unexplored. I didn't understand the how's and why's of Sterling being the sole beneficiary of his great grandfather. Who hires a PR person to become a matchmaker? And the "big" matchmaking event was the biggest joke of all -- an employee becomes a potential on the day of the event just like that when there was a screening process that narrowed down the potentials, an ex-girlfriend just waltzes in and the coordinator of the event just walks out in the middle of the event. The whole thing was anything but professional. The female narrator, Ava Erickson, sounds like a teenager which added to the juvenile feel of the story. It was very difficult to finish listening to the end.
I couldn't connect with any of the characters. I liked the relationship between Anna and Cami -- friends since elementary school -- but this lifelong relationship was just blown up with no real explanation or afterthought.
I have listened to several books narrated by Ava Erickson and because her voice sounds like a teenager with braces, it can be difficult to get beyond that. I think her voice is better suited for much younger characters. I will listen if the story is good. John Lange is the only reason I finished this book -- his voice saved an otherwise unlistenable story.
I was very disappointed and the few sex scenes did not make up for the complete mess of this book.
This book could have been so much better with a decent editor -- it had so much potential.
"Short but, sweet"
Loved HEA and this just proves a shorter story can still be very entertaining. Worth the credit!
The narrating was fabulous!!!! Sucked me fully in to the story so it felt real.
"It was ok"
Short, easy, steamy and romantic read. Told from both points of view. Amusing at times. Narration was ok.
"If you like a short, mindless read (or listen)"
I like some of KR's books just fine, this was just not one of her better attempts. John's great. The Ava has a nice voice but she is much better suited, vocally, to teen romance ... she just has the wrong voice for this.
Things made no sense. The top PR firm sends over a rep who, after 5 days of this story being "major" news and hordes of women stalking this guy (who she admitted has seen downstairs in their first meet) ... she says she has no idea what's going on? Has to be briefed? No PR person worth their salt is so freakin clueless. And, might I add... she's 10K in debt because of an EX. Just trying to make minimum payments on credit cards makes her two months late on rent? On what planet? I'd get that maybe 100K in credit card debt or even 50K, but 10K? Bah! The author's either clueless or no one edited this for reality!!
Ava's voice is all wrong for this type book.
No, too vapid and implausible. Oh wait... that's Hallmark movie! Maybe, as long as we sanitize the sex...
Wait till it's on sale. A good sale. AND YOU'RE SUPER BORED!
"Cute and Predictable!"
If you want to read or listen to that is easy and predictable, this is a perfect book for you! What I like about this not too much drama! But, sometimes drama can be entertaining! LOL!
When Sterling to Cami visited his mother.
They both did a great job!!
What didn't make any sense to me, the betrayal from her girlfriend Ana. I didn't think Ana would do such a thing, she came across a good friend. There wasn't any hint in the storyline that Ana was jealous of Cami (unless I missed it). Plus, not sure what happened to Sterling ex-girlfriend, I guess she hooked up with the security guard during the interview process. That was weird - it didn't fit. I think the editors did not do a good job in editing this book.
If the story wasn't so goofy and farfetched.
I thought both did a good job but Ava's British accent often slipped and it was distracting.
The opening lines. It went completely downhill from there.
This was the first time I read this author and I wasn't impressed. The story was over the top and completely predictable. Boo.
