"When you pick up a book by Nicholas Sparks, you know you're in for a wealth of love that will hold you all the way to the last page." (Woman's Day)
It took me a while to really get into this book and I can't help but wonder whether I would have enjoyed it more had I read it as a book or listened to it read by a different narrator.
I didn't enjoy the narrator's delivery. I'm not sure whether it was his voice, accent or just the way he read the female parts; possibly a combination of the three.
But I did enjoy the last quarter of the book and, by then, I had come to care about the characters. I must say that I predicted the ending from a certain point.
I love listening to books and enjoy a great listening experience. I listen to a huge amount of books and love it!
Listened to this on a long trip and didn't want to stop driving. Sad but good would highly recommend a great listen!
its a shame though that all his stories are becoming predicable. someone always has ti die, there always has to be a tragic ending.
"It was like all other Spark's book - emotional!"
It would have been nice if they had done a female voice for Amanda otherwise it was a good listen.
