Tex gave everything he had to his country and his SEAL teammates. When an IED took away part of his leg, and his career, he devoted himself to his country and friends from behind his computer. He's always been the man that can find anyone, that uses his computer skills, legal and illegal, to keep people safe and to put the bad guys behind bars.
But behind a computer is a lonely place to be. While he might put on a good front, Tex can't help but feel he's missing out when he sees how happy his friends are. But when the woman he's been talking to online for the last six months suddenly disappears without a word, Tex knows it's time to step up and use his skills for himself this time.
Protecting Melody is the seventh book in the SEAL of Protection series. It can be heard as a standalone, but it's recommended you hear the books in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the series.

This Tory is the best on this series. Tex is the caretaker of the entire group of Seals and their wives and families. Tex finally gets his chance with a woman he first met online. In usual Tex fashion he becomes concerned about her when she deletes her profile in the chat room where they met. He then tracks her down and basically picks her up in a low moment and they face her problems together. Mel and Tex are just perfect together and I was so happy to have Tex get his HEA. And Mel and Tex are HOT together, Stella Bloom did a perfect job with narrative of this story.
"Seals Are The Best"
I love stories about seals and their women. They are always the best kind of men and their women have a strength that we should all admire. Susan Stoker has a real talent for writing these stories. You won't want to miss this series.
Love the story line, love the military and show the bond of brothers and dedication. Tooooo much open bedroom for me (I fast forward through that) but love the story line the characters. And yes cried when the dog thought died and the devotion between marines.
"Possibly the best of the series"
I've waited for Tex story. He has always been one of my favorite characters. His story and the head on realistic look at Military men and their struggle was refreshing.
All the seal books I loved but this was my favorite. Could not out it down.
Cause Tex finally got a woman too
She does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life for me
I've adored Tex throughout this series and was thrilled when he finally got his own story. It's fitting he is the last of the team to get his women and it's also fitting he found her online. I've adored this series even though I'm late finishing it. I was actually waiting for the audio versions to all be out so I could finish the series the way I started it listening to it. I'm glad this series has whispersync though as I couldn't just wait to finish by listening to it. I had to read the last few chapters.
Another amazing read by this author and I look forward to reading many more great stories in the worlds she has created for us.
"Another Awesome Book! !"
I think this seal book was more suspenseful then the others. I loved it!!
The narrator was awesome on all the seals books. She is really good at changing her voice for the different characters.
"Loved Tex, The Hero"
Yes. The narration was diverse in pitch so I could distinguish between the characters. Overall, the story was good and I liked what each character brought to the story.
This is my first Audible Susan Stoker book, so I'm unable to compare.
Tex. I loved his southern "twang."
I have no idea.
Military romantic fiction is one of my favorite genres to read, so I gave Protecting Melody a chance.
What I liked about this story was Tex's perspective. He overcomes insecurity about his disability and though his challenges are convincing, he's also an attractive hero.
Since Tex was so appealing I wanted to like Melody. I DID like Melody. Her emotions really made me nervous for her. The situation that caused her to run was a terrific twist.
However...I couldn't connect with the villain. I would have liked to have known more about what motivated the villain, but I felt the villian's motives were just glazed over. If Protecting Melody had a more convincing villain, I think it could have seriously brought the suspense several notches higher.
Other than the villian, I enjoyed this love story.

"Not that great"
the storyline could have been sweet and innocent if the foul language had been left out, and if you like books that have strong sex in this book...
Yes I like her voice
If the guy wasn't so demanding I almost thought he was the stalker he was very pushy and demanding
I loved this book..John's (Tex) story is my second favorite of the series (Cookie was my favorite.
