Money or love? Which would you choose? You probably just answered the question in your head, thinking it's an easy decision. For me, it's not. Did I mention it's a lot of money? A hell of a lot.
I needed to go far away to think it through. As I embarked on an impulsive trip, I hit a detour when I met sexy Carter in the airport lounge. We struck up a heated conversation. Then, he left. I thought I'd never see him again. But fate had other plans.
Surprise! He was the pilot of my flight. The bigger surprise was the adventure that followed after the plane landed. Carter was dangerous and always on the move. Even though our connection was magnetic, I knew it was only temporary. He would give me tickets, and I would follow him around the world to exotic places. A bevvy of flight attendant exes and rumors about Carter's reputation were never far behind. I didn't know what to believe. But I was addicted. Nothing else mattered anymore. And I was going to get hurt. Because a part of me wanted to be the one to finally ground the playboy pilot.

no particular moment, i enjoyed it all
both leads were great
a bit of both
just a good story, would make a great movie
Some lovely touches here. I loved the Bruce link.
I felt that the author made him the angel and left her lead lady with few good attributes.
Definitely got the whole love story thing with both the writing and excellent narrators.
Touched on depression and it's effects on the person and those around them, very well written.
Wow what an awesome storyline, great characters and underlying words of wisdom loved the Beetles references too . Excellent narration as well from the amazing Seb York and Andi Arndt
Sometimes I listen to an audio book I've greatly enjoyed and the thought of pulling apart why seems unthinkable ! This is one of those times. Carter and Kendall's story was simply magical with highs and lows and laughter. The narrators were magic too!
Loving these standalones fromVi Keeland and Penelope Ward and book 3 (Playboy Pilot) is equally as enthralling. Caught hook, line and sinker into the world of airline pilot Carter and his string of flight attendants, and Kendall, who comes with her own set of problems. They meet in the airport lounge and share food and conversation, herein starts an adventure around the world culminating in what I hoped would be true love and a HEA. Sadly you always get author's who put a spanner in the works and Ms Ward and Ms Keeland did just that! Told in dual POV, it was full of romance, humour and some super sexy scenes that had me all hot and bothered. I loved the story, I loved the characters, the retirement village was hilarious. A book filled with humour, a little angst and a couple of eye watering moments. Loving these two authors together. I want more!

"COME FLY WITH CARTER AND KENDALL"
We get to travel around the world with Carter and Kendall. About a third way into the book I'm thinking this is another cookie cutter romance then it took a turn to a deeper more emotional side of Carter.
There's fun, angst, sadness, sex and some oh's. Much to my surprise I enjoyed this book.
Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland write entertaining books. A lot of their books are 'the same book different title.' This book was really different and I think you'll enjoy it.
Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are a power team with their performances.
Absolutely worth credit/$.
Ok. The writing was great. Arndt and York after all. And pretty good story with a great hero. But I spent most of the book really angry with the writers for their decision to make Kendall such a weak, indecisive coward. Though I nearly DNF, I persevered and got a smidgen of satisfaction when Carter didn't fall right back into her arms when they reconnected in the airport. I just wish P and V could have found something in addition to Kendall's poor little rich girl issues that could create the appropriate amount of tension. Not very happy with this one.
"A GREAT TEAM... & ANOTHER SERIOUSLY AWESOME LISTEN"
With his good looks, charm, cockiness and sex appeal (which is all wrapped up in a Pilot's uniform) it's no wonder Carter is a Playboy Pilot hopping from one country to another with a bevy of eager Stewardesses to choose from. But one particular stop-over has him meeting beautiful Kendall and suddenly he's not thinking about Barbie 1 or Barbie 2... no, it's the instant connection he feels with Kendall that has his complete attention.
Sitting in Miami Airport Bar Kendall is at a crossroads in her life and has some tough decisions to make so is trying to make them while jetting off to somewhere new for breathing space - but where oh where to go? Then a chance flirty meeting with a gorgeous man had Kendall changing her destination... and her destiny too. Because that chance meeting would resolve her decisions over that life-altering crucial crossroads, would take her to new exotic places, would have her arrested for indecent behaviour, would have her experience the best sex of her life, would have her falling in love.. and would leave her heartbroken.
What a wonderful listen... this had it all - sizzles, passion, hot sex, compassion, layers, laughter, tears, angst, drama and a very addictive dual POV love story between two loveable characters who were crazy for each other from the start. They took a bit of time getting to know each other before they let the chemistry explode and there wasn't any bullshit or lies between them. And what Kendall found was a drool-worthy, sexy, dirty talking alpha Hero who'd been through something devastating in his past which has left its mark and yet underneath he's honest and has a heart of gold - and Carter found a sassy Heiress who's under a lot of pressure, confused, caring... and totally fed up with meeting his past conquests. But just as Kendall is happily racing towards her now clear future... she's met by someone from Carter's past.
Worth a credit? YES - this was such a great listen - a well written original story which was told by two of my favorite narrators who captured the moods, the feelings and the characters perfectly. I had butterflies, goosebumps and all the feels.
"Terrible main character"
The main character is far too air headed and naive to be believable. I pitied the male interest for falling in love with her.
"Wow! Just Wow!"
Outstanding written story
Carter - Who wouldn't love a handsome playboy pilot that falls in love with a girl who didn't know what she was looking for until it was gone.
Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are two of the best narrators that I have ever had the opportunity to listen to. I have heard many of their performances both separately and together.
Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland have written another 5 star story. The characters were very well thought out and the story was excellently plotted. The ups and downs of the story weaved a very interesting tale. And the performance of the narrators was exceptional. As much as I wanted to get to the end of the story, I didn't want it to end.
I love a strong male lead and I love a man that never gives up on a woman. I'd sometimes prefer the woman to be a little smarter about their actions but I still enjoyed it.
"GOOD STORY...TOO GRAPHIC!!!!"
I wasn't going to write a review on this book but decided it might be helpful for others. It's a good story but ENTIRELY too much vulgar language. I am not a prude and definitely love a good sex scene but IMO the descriptive language could be cleaned up considerably. If you "make love" to someone, you don't speak to that person as though she is a hooker or slut. This book could have been a 5-star for me but I couldn't get past the vulgarity. Evidently others don't share my opinion based on the other ratings.
However, Andi and Sebastian did a wonderful job. What a team they make!
Don't need to say much but... I loved it. These two amazing women get together to write and greatness happens. The book took a twist in the middle that I didn't see coming till the moment it started happening. Great book about leaving it up to date and what's important in life.
"All around goodness"
Great story. Laughs (Kendall loves farting)...hahaha, heart break and love. Two of my favorite narrators truly make this story come to life. Worth the credit!
