Summary

Kampf ums Überleben in den Ruinen von Berlin

Berlin, 2. Weltkrieg: Oppenheimer, einst angesehener Kommissar, muss im Untergrund überleben. Bei einem seiner Schwarzmarktgeschäfte geschieht ein brutaler Mord. Kurz darauf wird seine Unterstützerin Hilde verhaftet. Der Tote war ihr Ehemann, SS-Hauptsturmführer Erich Hauser. Zwar sind die beiden seit Jahren getrennt, doch die Regimegegnerin Hilde hätte ein Motiv gehabt, denn der skrupellose Mediziner Hauser war KZ-Lagerarzt und hat Menschenversuche durchgeführt. Oppenheimer, selbst als Jude verfolgt, riskiert alles, um Hilde aus den Fängen der NS-Justiz zu retten.
