Summary

Harry Silver returns to face life in the 'blended family'. A wonderful new novel about modern times, it is both a sequel to the million selling Man and Boy and a stand-alone story.

At the end of Man and Boy, Harry Silver hears the bells of an ice-cream van and we know he's heading for marriage, his second, with Cyd. But was that ending too much like a fairytale? It means learning how to be a good father to his son, Pat, who will live with his first wife, Gina, and to Cyd's daughter, Peggy, who will live with them.

And it's not so easy. Did Harry commit to a new relationship too soon? Can he keep this more complicated life on the rails?

Man and Wife is a powerful love story with a very moral twist...and it's pure Parsons magic.

Missing something

I know it's abridged and said so on the cover. I wouldn't have usually bought an abridged version but there didn't seem to be any option.

it was 3 and a half hours instead of more than 8 of the first and third book. I feel like massive chunks were missing from the original text. why?
why have they altered a perfectly good book?
