It wasn't exactly like spunky, photography student Abbie Nartey ran away from her life - except, that she left under the cover of darkness and put 3,000 miles between her and her ex-boyfriend's betrayal. She went to London searching for her dream. She never expected to find love, or herself. Heir to his family's tech fortune, sexy Alexi Chase is looking for freedom - from his family and from his past. What he's not looking for is love. With secrets like his, he can't afford to let anyone get too close. But a chance rescue has him wondering if the price of keeping secrets is too high.
Will Alexi risk losing love to keep his past hidden? Will Abbie trust herself enough to love again? Or will their pasts keep them from accepting true love?

The actors have TERRIBLE accents. Considering the story is set in the UK and Audible have a large UK audience it's ridiculous to use actors who can't do the UK voices. I had to return it, which is a shame because Nana writes good stories. The London and New Castle accents were just too distracting. Seriously awful narration.
I loved this story from start to finish. The performance was AWESOME and the story was BRILLIANT! The love story between Abby and Lex was beautiful! I like how the author took her time having them fall in love with each other. I love how she had Lex ask for permission to do things to Abby. Even something as small or as big as a kiss. I will definitely listen to this again and possibly purchase the actual book.
I recommend this audible to those who want to hear about a boy who fell in love with a girl who was unsure that she could trust someone again and that he could ever love someone at all!
"This is an authentic love story."
Interracial Love of course. I also enjoyed the fact that it was in London. It just makes me as a reader hope in love, the places beyond my own vicinity.
When she and him first meets him of course. Oh no, I don't want to spoil anything. Actually I would have to say it's when she's at the party and she happens upon a certain couple. The emotion from both characters each dealing with their past in their own way. That part stuck out to me the most.
I have not listened to their performances, but I will make this note about them; when the woman does Alexi's voice, he seems so much more sensual and tender than when the man reads Alexi. I don't know if it's an accent thing, but I thought it was so much hotter when she read his parts. It's not a bad note, it just really stuck out to me. The other characters come alive when the both of them read. You'll see what I mean if you purchase it.
Good Credit. Can't wait to read about the other brother...
"Twisted Love Story"
When I first started listening to this book my mind went to “Oh no another one of those.” But after continuing to listen the story took enough twists and turns that it kept me listening. Although I had to stop and come back to it. Therefore it took me three days to actually listen to the whole story. Abbie is in an abusive five year relationship and finally has the courage to get out. She runs not only from the apartment but from the country and lands in the class that she wanted to be in. She is a brilliant photographer and gets to train with one of the best. The first day of class the professor tells them he does not date his students so they will have to earn their degree the correct way. Her life just gets better from there. She almost gets hit by a mini cooper and is saved by none other than her professor’s brother.
The two brothers clash when they both want Abbie. Yet Abbie is drawn to the one who saved her. The brothers are hiding a secret that could endanger both of them. Yet Alexie will risk it all for Abbie.
A vindictive, dictatorial father, an abusive ex-boyfriend, a relationship that Alexie is in to protect one of his best friends, too much money, and several outsiders who contribute to the blow up and reconciliation of their relation all combine to create a pretty good story.

IF I COULD SUM IT UP IT WOULD BE AWESOME!
Hearing London Bound book with the audio. I mean i was so surprise to hear a male narrator too. Will that was so amazing and very memorable for me.
No, this is the first i have heard both of them together and it was amazing to hear.
Did not cry , but i did laugh so hard in some parts in the book. In the end of the book i did cry at the very end..
Just take a chance with Nana books you will not be disappointed.
"XOXO From London"
I enjoyed this story of strength love and resiliency of Abbie. This story started with a powerless Abbie and ended with a strong intelligent woman who made her own way in the world. I enjoyed the readers authentic accents and the English slang. It is clear the author has visited this area and not just read about London.
I cannot think of another love story with real transformation. There was not a page in thus book that was wasted the live was real. The hurt was real the growth was real. Unlike most romance novel I have encountered this was sincere and did not involve a rich man whisking her away from her problems instead Abbie grew and conquered them herself! Bravo!
The readers accents are wonderful. It actually reminded me if visiting over seas.
Yes and I hated having to stop.
I am looking forward to the second book and other books from Ms. Malone.
"Really really real!"
Loved the characters and the narration. Waiting for second Chase brother's story. I hope it's just as good.
Loved every aspect. I listened to the whole thing in one day. This is one of the best love stories I ve heard.
"liked it a lot"
this book had a very real and every day story line. It touched on what happens to someone everyday. I truly love the happy ending
"I loved all of their snogging the most!"
I really liked the energy of this novel. Abbie and Alexi weren't looking to date, but fate had other plans.
I recently read another novel with the same title, London Bound by Amy Daws. In contrast, it was a single POV narration and a bit less enthralling overall. Personally, I prefer how Abbie and Alexi's relationship progressed with more interaction and dating time up front as opposed to the other novel's slower paced story.
Yes, I've listened to this duo narrate Filthy English. I think they make a great duo, and their performance narrating Abbie and Alexi's love story was just as entertaining as that one.
I was really impressed by what Abbie's dad told her when she called him and voiced her doubts after a bad assignment critique in her photography class. ****SPOILER**** Oddly enough though, he didn't follow through on his claim of being in her corner. He was silent later on when her mother cut off her funds for school. Only one of her sisters reached out to her and offered to help at that point. Perhaps her dad speaks up again in Xander's standalone novel, London Calling (Chase Brothers #2), as an update on Abbie and Alexi. I sure hope so.
Abbie and Alexi had so many wonderful kissing or snogging moments. I loved how author Nana Malone described that intimate act most especially. Their sex scenes were very steamy and earthy. Fortunately, I was able to do a semi-dual format read of this one and had time to reread the e-book format, highlight and bookmark many favorite scenes. That's always an added bonus. And the cover image is simply gorgeous and sexy!
really good book love the braveness of the girl to leave the abusive relationship on her ow when she had no one else to help.
