She has a secret. He has a scandal. And they both have an attraction they can't deny.
Ella Dennings is furious. Soaking wet, muddy, and furious. All she wants is to enjoy a quiet summer retreat in her Red River cabin. Maybe she can finish healing after the death of her husband, Bradley. Maybe she can even start writing that third book in her top secret bestselling erotica series. But when she arrives at the cabin in a raging June rainstorm, who does she find holed up there but Cooper Wells, Bradley's sexy best friend - a man capable of seducing women of all ages and cup sizes within seconds - and a man Ella has never liked.
Coop's got his own baggage. He's engulfed in a nasty legal battle, and after selling his condo to cover his legal fees, he's got nowhere to go but the cabin. He and Ella will just have to coexist under one roof...but is their heated animosity boiling over into attraction? And when Ella's racy new book rocks the sleepy town, will her secret identity spell scandal for both of them?

I liked the setting but I never get why the woman in this situation isn't straight about what she is.
Loved this book audible is the best!!!
This is one of my favorite narrators!!
The book was slow to start as the main characters had to be developed in order for the reader to understand the relationship. After the second or third chapter the book flowed better. Good performance
"Just about died and went to heaven"
Such a great book and perfect to listen to! I've never had an audio book before and I'm glad I found this one!
"Implausible with Potential"
I have mixed feelings about this book, although I enjoyed most of the characters and the small town setting. However, I thought 2 things were highly implausible and unappealing.
First, Ella and Cooper had an intimate moment when Ella was dating Cooper's best friend just before they got engaged. Yet Ella was supposedly happily married for several years until her husband died of cancer and she reconnected with Cooper.
Second, I thought Ella's career as an erotic romance writer was unbelievable, considering that she was too timid to tell her conservative family about her writing. Also there were several references to bondage, suggesting that erotica must involve violence and humiliation.
