I'm about to throw an ashtray at my boss's head. Turns out, the mind behind my favorite, steamy romance novels...the ones I only read in private...the ones that are my only escape after a long day of dealing with The Boss from Hell? It's not Natalie McBride, the sweet, rural housewife. It's him. That's right: my boss, Adrian Risinger, the 33-year-old, maddeningly sexy, pissant billionaire "bad boy" who thinks he runs my life. He is also the author of all my deepest, most secret fantasies. And to make matters worse, he needs me to impersonate "Natalie" at a series of book signings and conventions. But, of course, that's only if I want to keep my job. On second thought, I'm going to need something heavier than an ashtray.

A fantastic read
The swimming pool incident
The swimming pool
The boss you love to hate
I loved this book. I have never read any of Melanie's books before but have just purchased another and hope it is as good. Elena Wolfe is a brilliant narrator and as always really brings the characters to life. The book was funny, entertaining, deep and brilliant all round.
For a change the lady narrating this is fantastic. She reads it with ease and has emotion. The story is good and I personally rate it 5*.
A mother of 2 boys, with a demanding career. I travel a lot and love to zone out into my world of audible books.
Loved it. The story is different from the usual billionaire sexy.
It's so well written and narrated that you feel like your listening to a story from a friend.
I laughed out so loud I made the woman next to me jump.
It's an emotional roller coaster of a story but well worth the ride.
Yes, probably. Because it's an easy romance read. It's your typical billionaire romance, but not quite. And I could relate with the plus-size Megan. Love the story!
This is my first time listening to Elena Wolfe. And she's a wonderful narrator!
I snorted with laughter for the most parts. Megan's funny and the narrator did a good job bringing the character to life.
I have listened to this all in one go as I couldn't put it down.
There's nothing not to love about it.
I will be listening again to this.
I loved the characters and the journey they both had.
I applaued the fact that we didn't have to go down the typical storyline and that it was just as funny as Sexy.
I will be listening to another book.
Just discovered this author and loved this book!
It's funny, sexy and sweet without being sappy, some parts made me laugh out loud!
The female lead is feisty, older and plus sized, okay the man is still rich and successful but neither have angst ridden dark pasts, which was quite refreshing for this genre.
"I TRULY LOVED THIS STORY"
Of course the narration was excellent. Elena Wolfe never disappoints. The dialogue was so witty and cute not to mention the HOT SEX. I don't give reviews about the details of the book or the complexity of the characters but I can tell you that if you have enjoyed any of the other books I loved , you will love this one. GET IT
"Hoorah for the full figured women."
Really great story
When Adrian crossed the line of privacy.by moving her stuff without her permission and she made him move it all back
I loved them all. she's a really good narrator. I will definitely buy what ever book she narrates.
yes, and I did.
"I WAS RIVETTED TO EVERY DELICIOUS CHAPTER"
Long suffering Megan has been working for Adrian (aka the boss from Hell) for 5 years, 5 years of unreasonable demands, unpleasant exchanges and gruelling working conditions but somehow Megan has a love/hate relationship with her job and her funny banter, quick witted responses to Adrian and amusing thoughts keep her sanity intact. But Adrian is about to push Megan to her limits.... and way way beyond.
Megan and Adrian are a couple I instantly loved and couldn't wait to hear the next Chapter in their warped and twisted relationship that very quickly turns to breathless passion and hot sex when their 'all business' weekend away ignites into lust filled glares, jealousy, smouldering kisses, passionate pleas and they have a sexually charged weekend. But back in the office Adrian is formal once again and so there's an emotional roller coaster with their names clearly on it just waiting to raise them to the heights of ecstacy then plummet them into the depths of Hell. Where they land is yours to find out.
Worth a credit? Told from Megan's POV except the last Chapter which is all Adrian's, entertaining characters and Megan is a larger sized woman who gets her man (yaye for her), hot sex scenes, dirty talk, there's surprises and twists, it's a fun filled plot with a very entertaining storyline and the narrator did a great job. It was all I hoped for and much more than I expected, so creditworthy.... Hell YEAH.
This is one of those quick mindless reads. Within 30 minutes you'll know how it's going to end, but you'll read it anyway. Will you remember this book in the years to come? Nope, you won't even remember it a few days later. But, you won't regret reading it because it cured your boredom for an afternoon.
"Just so so"
It was just ok. I'm not super picky about my sexy romance reads but I do prefer SOMETHING to happen. I understand there is a format that is followed in these books and usually I like to get sucked into their lives and angst. But nothing happens in this book. The narration was really well preformed though. I don't know that I'll use a credit on another of this authors books though.
I didn't expect to be wowed so much! Great original storyline! Great chemistry! Hot sex! HAWT! Amazing audio performance! Highly recommended for romance lovers!
"Honestly, I was bored"
This was a very unbelievable romantic fiction. Any GOOD fiction is at least believable. This was unrealistic, unbelievable and unlikely. First of all no actual description of the main characters were given except that he is tall and looks like an underwear model and she is a plus size and that's IT. Then the first sex scene happens at the work's pool area. The entire scene is poorly done. The sex part is done nicely but the way it all happens is again unrealistic. Characters are immature and honestly I was so bored I could not wait to be done with this book. I kept hoping if I just suffered through more that the story would get better but it never did. Reading this book was like watching porn in the sense that you get good sex but the story around it is supremely insufficient.
"Not so good story, narration fail with male voice."
HMMMM. The story is barely okay and it could have been better. The story line and plot were interesting at the start but I feel like this would have been a better story had it been written in the third person and not the first, or even a dual POV. (although I am not a big fan of 1st POV's sometimes they are okay, this one not so much)
You never got Adrian's POV. It was all her POV. You just had to ASSUME? KNOW? he was into her. Because you get nothing from him. So read between the lines of the dialogue to figure him out.
The story line and plot started out good but then it just sort dwindled and it was all about the sex and the sex and the sex. Oh yeah, and the sex.
I did like Meghan and her character, she was strong, opinionated and said what she wanted, She was also witty. I was surprised she was described as big with dimples in her butt. I know that was part of the story line, the handsome arrogant billionaire likes plus sized women. You don't know that until you start reading/listening to the story though. Also, she is supposed to be insecure about it and she was a little but not much at all, to be honest. Which I am kind of glad it ended up being a mild insecurity, anymore would have been annoying.
I liked Adrian as much as I could considering you didn't get anything from him or about him except from her POV until the last chapter of the book. And his POV was seriously lacking in that last chapter.
This really was a one sided story and to be honest it really suffered from it. In addition I found some the the dialogue to be really cheesy.
As for the narration, Every thing was great until Adrian's voice. He sounded like a woman. Which sucked. Yeah, the narrator needs to work on her male voices for sure, otherwise the narration was good. So she loses stars for bad male voice.
Looks like I am in the minority with my review. Oh well.. It's my honest opinion and review and I just ended up not really liking it.
This was a very touching story. I loved everything about it. I was well done.
"Great Narration, story lacking substance"
I grabbed this Audiobook because it was being read by one of my favorite female narrators. The sample wasn't bad, but I never felt a connection with either of the main characters or storyline.
Overall it was lacking substance, and the writing was repetitive and drawn out.
I gave it a 3 star overall because the narration was really good.
