Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling and award-winning author Selena Kitt - over a million books sold!

Sibyl Blackthorne isn't afraid of anything - except maybe being sold into marriage to a man she doesn't love. A man she's never even met. A man who, by reputation, is one of Scotland's cruelest lairds in over a century. But what choice does she have, with her father dead and her uncle now married to his brother's widow, putting him in charge of not only the Blackthorne fortune, but Sibyl's future as well?

Then her betrothed turns out to actually be far worse than his reputation, so headstrong Sibyl decides life as a peasant, or even death, would be preferable to a future with such a despicable man, and makes plans to run away.

On an organized hunt for wolves - or, as the Scots call them, wulvers - Sybil escapes her fiancé's clutches, only to find she's run into something far more untamed and dangerous in the middle of the woods.

When a big, brawny, long-haired man, who only speaks to her in Gaelic and calls himself Raife, simply picks her up and carries her off with him into the Scottish wild, Sibyl knows she's in trouble.

When he takes her to a place no human has ever been, she knows she's gone over the edge. And when he, at last, marks her as his own, she discovers that only one wild heart can claim another.

Note to Listeners: This is the extended version with new material and a bonus epilogue and preview of the sequel!

    "Oh what a great book!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Highland Wolf Pact to be better than the print version?

As I haven't read the printed version, therefore I can't possibly comment.

What other book might you compare Highland Wolf Pact to, and why?

I don't know of many books like this one, hence this review ... From the beautiful Scottish accents to the wonderful story.

What about Dave Gillies’s performance did you like?

He was able to bring the many characters to life from the pomp and selfishness of the Laird Alistair M. to the fiery passion of the many Wolvers. My only negative comment about Dave Gillie was the lacking of clear Yorkshire accent of the character Lady Blackthorn, however, it passed as I fell into the rich tones of the Gaelic language.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

It is said that if He is truly Blessed ...Standing alongside a great Man is a Strong and Passionate Woman.

    Any additional comments?

One of the reasons I enjoy listening to books on Audible is the added dimension the narrator can bring to a book. There is a richness, texture and a sense of moving along with the characters in this story that's being narrated. This book is truly a surprising, well written, well thought out and a well read book, I'm hoping that the next installment of this series comes to Audible very soon. Please please please!

"A Scott + Wolf Shifter = Very Sexy!"

It's not often I come across a story that combines both historical and paranormal romance into one captivating story and even better it contains two of my favorites, sexy Scotts and wolf shifters! I also liked these shifters or wulvers, were not perfect. They lived deep in the mountain, and the female wulvers had the moon curse and were forced to stay in their wolf forms during certain cycles.

This was a decent story and the attractions between Raife and Sybil was instant. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Highland WolfpackBy Selena KittAmazing!!! A beautiful, passionate, unique love story. Sibyl Blackthorne was what one would call a tomboy growing up. Under her father's tutelage, Sibyl learned how to use a sword, a bow and ride a horse like no other English lady. Sibyl loved her life until her father died and her ambitious, selfish uncle, married her mother and took control of Sybil's destiny. A marriage was arranged for Sybil and she soon realized her betrothed was an evil, wicked man, just like her uncle. Invited to go on a hunt with her betrothed and some of his men, Sybil see's this as her one chance to escape before she actually has to marry this repulsive man. Little does Sybil know just how much her life is about to change forever. Raife is a big, brawny, long-haired man who is watching Sybil. He seems to know Sybil wants to escape her betrothed, so he waits, hidden in the forest, so he can rescue her. In one moment Sybil is starring into the eyes of this tall, brawny man, when he gives her the choice of staying with her betrothed, or leaving with him. She chooses him. He tells her to hang on tightly to him. Somewhat confused as to why she needed to hold tightly to this man, Sybil still trusted him, and wrapped her arms around his neck. The next thing Sybil knows, the man is gone and her arms are wrapped around the neck of a large wolf, or as the Scots call them a wulver. Carried far away to a hidden den in the midst of a mountain, Cybil begins a life with the wulvers and falls in love with Raife. Raife is the leader of the pack and knows his duty is to marry a wulver, but Raife fell in love with Sybil the moment he laid eyes on her. Can love conquer all or will they have to deny their love for one another? This is a fantastic, exciting, enthralling, passionate story that captivates your interest from the very beginning. I was hanging on to every word. This is the first book I've read by Author Selena Kitt, but it definitely won't be the last. This book is so good, I am a fan of this author for life. With vidid details, this author took me on a journey to another world. I loved every minute of this story. An absolute must read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    "Surprisingly good!"

Lol, well this is one of those books I really wasn't sure about. I liked the idea of it. The plot sounded fascinating. However, based on the authors other works (which granted I have not read) I was afraid this would be lacking in plot and just a lot of sex (the other covers where kind of a dead giveaway about their focus). I just really didn't want to be disappointed with this one. I mean come-on wild highland wolf shifters. What more need I say? The blurb wasn't the best, but the cover art is fascinating. I believe I spent half the book just drooling over it. Anyway I am so glad this story did indeed have a decent plot that really wasn't overly pornifide (I believe I just made that word up...) at all. It was actually very sweet (except the end, which I'm still a little ticked off about the head). It made me just want to cuddle up and smile when it described the wolf pack. There where some elements I've read of before and some I've never considered. Together all of it fit perfectly and at times I wished the author would have spent more time going into the little facets of the characters everyday life in the pack and about their home. I couldn't really get enough of that.
The narrator was more then decent. His male voice where sigh worthy, while his female where pretty horrible (luckily that's something I can usually laugh off, I mean what can you do? I guy with a muscular manly brouge can not under any circumstances have a light feminine voice that doesn't sound like he's been kicked in the junk or mocking someone. Physically impossible.). Still he did a great job. Minus the editing mistake (chapter 4 or 9 I think) there was a small portion of recorded over voice. Otherwise spot on and very enjoyable.
There is also the ending which was resolved however you are still left with a gaping hole of unanswered questions thanks to the last chapter (which unless you plan on listening to the next two books right away, since your already addicted, I recommend you don't listen to). All jokes aside it was a great read/ listen and I'm happy I took a chance on it. It's a interesting new world that I plan on thoroughly enjoying.
