The Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy series written by E. L. James spent a record 50 weeks on the international best-sellers lists and is now a major Universal Pictures film starring Dakota Johnson. This unabridged audiobook flits between erotica and romance and has been enticingly narrated by American actress Becca Battoe. These books were a phenomenon that swept over the world in a colossal tidal wave, leaving millions of fanatical women breathless, flushed and addicted beyond measure. It is a heart-pounding, compulsively good listen not to be missed. Available now from Audible.

Nothing worse than this
The only entertaining thing has been reading the reviews afterwards.
Hard to know if the narration or writing is worse, I wish there was a way to give a lower rating.

ABSOLUTELY DIABOLICAL READ
This must be the worst book I have ever read in my life. It has absolutely no storyline, no plot and just contains an oratory on sadomasochism. It was and is a complete waste of money/credit! I am totally disgusted and do not even wish to rate this book but it seems I must complete the 'rate this title' section to submit my review and, therefore, I will give 1 star, although I would not recommend anyone to purchase this book, even those who are into S&M as the content is diabolical and repetitive.

Mills and Boon On Speed
Think that says it all. This was Long, Tedious and Repetive. After the first coiuple of chapters I started listening to this at double speed; then after what became so repetitive I would have speeded it up further but couldn't one more chapter I gave up forwarded it to the last chapter which was basicly no furthe on than the third as far as I could see. This has got to be the worse book I have ever listened too.

Fifty shades of cringing
Yuk, I am sorry but I couldn't listen to this much rated book. The narration drove me nuts. It was too breathy and made me cringe. I didn't make it past the first 10 minutes and therefore, didn't make the end of the first chapter, where my children tell me the story really begins.
I am sorry I can't give a better review rating or really review the story in any way as this it put me off the book too.

50 Shades of "Cr*p"!
Sorry, this is the worst thing I have ever had to endure. The narration is awful and I agree with another customer about the reading of each email header, as if the rest of it was bad enough. The only thing about this was I listened to it whilst running on my treadmill, it was so awful that I actually concentrated on speeding up my pace just so I could switch the iPod off. I am at least a better runner for it, but no do not buy it is awful. Unfortunately I wasted three credits on the trilogy, somehow (unless I want to run a marathon at a desperate pace) I cannot see myself listening to them.

Ok - lets find out what all the hype was about .
Oh dear. Maybe it's just me but I just didn't get it. Well let's start with the storyline - what storyline. This book stopped my Audible listening in it's tracks, I wasn't going to give up on it, surely it had to get better! Alas I think it just got worse and after about two months of trying to stomach it - I had to admit defeat. I just couldn't stand it anymore and bought a new book. The narration, I'm afraid, was dreadful. Sorry but I can't think of anything positive about this book except it is no longer in my library!!

Greys not a colour & it lacked COLOUR
Well I did try to enjoy this because everyone is raving about it - but it is easily split into parts of boring, spicy, boring and - yep spicy and the saga goes on.....
Unfortunately the boring bits really are dull, mundane and very long - and that is how it opens and the first 7 chapters is enough to make you put the book down - then it gets pretty interesting and worth all the hype - but then of course the story has to move out of the bedroom and 50 shades of grey paint drying would be more interesting - I gave up after that (about half way) the correspondence of endless emails to the two main characters was more than monotonous and the the quality of the writing echos the fact that the author is someone that was practising their skills on a fan-fiction site and based the story on the "Twilight" sagas.
I would have loved to say this was worth the hype, and credit to the narrator she did her best with the material she was given.
If the padding was less or maybe of a more interesting nature and the hype worth the spice then it could have been a good book but the characters are bland - so Grey was certainly a spark of genius as Grey is not a colour and that's what it lacked COLOUR in-between the spice....

OH MY! What a terrible book! Dont waste your money
Where to start........ I down loaded this book not really knowing anything about the story line and just thought it was your average 'love story'. The actual concept could have been quite good i.e that sort of relationship struggling with such a damaged soul, but I am afraid for me it is so poorly written it ruins anything it could have been! The author obviously has a very limited knowledge of words and phrases as it repeats the same lines over and over again. At one point I thought if she says 'OH MY' one more time I may throw my MP3 out of the window. When the two main characters are emailing we have to hear the web address, date, time, subject, who its from EVERY single time. It gets very boring. Its a shame as I dont even mind the fact the the story is over the top it could have been quite a good story as it is so different from anything else. I did listen right to the end as I hate to waste my precious credits, but it was quite painful at times. I even found the sex boring after a while and I certainly wont bother with the sequels!!

Well done Audible for trying with this
The audible book itself is well read and just what you would hope for in a listening experience ... top marks Audible for doing what you can with the material you were given.
What follows is a review of the book itself and is in no way a reflection on the sterling job done by audible to make this drivel into a book.
It's so poorly written, the sex scenes in comparison to mills and boon these days or sillhoette are uninspiring badly writeen and at best poor. The female charachter so very weak and insipid that I wanted to metaphorically slap her metaphorical face. The male flat one dimensional and unlikeable

Fifty Shades of Shit
The single, most torturous excuse of a "novel" I have ever come across. All characters are punchable until they are unrecognisable and the sad excuse of an "author" is completely inept in writing anything of any worth whatsoever. I severely pity those who hail this as being "inspiring". This is lack of talent at its finest, and how much has the author earned again? Depressing. Downright depressing. Love it when a lack of talent is worshipped.
