Publisher's Summary

Hudson Blake.

Tattooed. Hot. My best friend's brother. Off-limits, except for that one night.

That one night cannot be spoken of. Cannot be thought of. Cannot allow myself to daydream.

Daydream that I'm going to become someone. That he can see me as someone.

Someone to love. To forget. To believe. To taste.

To make me forget my everlasting sin once and for all.

    "Everlasting Sin is sinfully good!"

This is probably one of my favorite books by JS Cooper! The narrator really brought this book to life for me. Hudson and Riley grew up together. Hudson was the older brother of Riley's best friend. When he was young, he picked on her,but then became her protector. As they grew up, Riley and Hudson began to have feelings for each other. Hudson was Riley's first kiss and it was one neither could forget. Hudson went to college and met Clara. Even when he was with Clara, Riley was who was on his mind. One night changed everything as a tragedy happened and both blame themselves. Hudson thinks he's no good and stays out of Riley's life. After 4 years, they cross paths again and the love they have for the other is still there. Will Hudson continue to push Riley away or can Riley convince him that he's good enough? You must listen to this book to find out! 5+ stars!!

An amazingly sinful summer night changed the lives of Riley and Hudson forever. Hudson never intended to fall for his sister’s best friend and the girl he promised to look after since they were kids, but the pull toward Riley was strong and undeniable. One night, a few hours of happiness, is the all couple has together, before a horrible tragedy pulls them apart, and the time they spent together is little more than memories and a sinful secret. After years of trying to forget and move on, Riley and Hudson once again find one another. But past passions and painful skeletons battle for the future and a story of growing up, forgiveness, and undeniable love is told.

I really enjoyed both Riley and Hudson. Riley’s innocence really helped to define her character. She is so sweet and caring it was easy to like her, and I could see how Hudson became so mesmerized by her. My feelings on Hudson are more complex. At times I thought he was perfect, sexy, protective, and caring. Other times, I was confused by his actions, and was disappointed in his decisions. Nonetheless, in the end I was won over, I understood why Riley had such strong feelings for him. Hudson and Riley’s story kept me on the edge of my seat. The story is told in a way that keeps you guessing and wanting more! I loved the way the details unveil themselves throughout the book.

What does M. Capehart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Everlasting Sin is narrated by M. Capehart. I enjoyed her crystal clear voice and found myself lost in her words.

    Any additional comments?

As the story is written in duel of point of view, I felt it would have been more effective to have a male speak for Hudson, but M. Capehart did a good job with both characters and I would recommend this audiobook.

What did you like best about this story?

The book is written in both POV's ... You get to know both characters. What I loved about the book is how you get to attach yourself to them because the author starts the book from when they were kids... They become friends after he picks on her when they are kids and her mother tells him he will protect her and not pick on her.

    Any additional comments?

I really liked this story and the narrator. The book takes you back to the beginning where and how they met. It is just a wonderful sweet heartbreaking listen. It seems a lot of people have sins some may even shock you. The author throws some twists you won’t see coming as she takes you on a heartbreaking story of young love that went wrong.

I loved M. Capehart as the narrator she has a lovely voice that is very smooth and enjoyable. She even had the whinny brat down to a T. There are no background noises just a rich enjoyable listen. It was easy to tell who was talking. Here male and female voices were very enjoyable. You could not tell if any breaks were taken. There were no high or low changes in her voice it was just a very pleasurable listen. For me she bought the story together as I could feel the pain or surprise of each character.

Ms. Cooper gives a wonderful tale of first love, young love that goes all the way back to school. It is a sweet story until one night everything changed. How can one sweet wonderful night go so wrong? Just when you think you have the lay of the land the author changes the road and you are left with your mouth hung open. The love is as real as the pain, we each have choices and sometimes those choices will hurt another.

Riley and Hudson have had a thing since they were young. Hudson always picked on Riley until the day her mother said enough. That day changed everything as they grew up both liking the other but neither knew until one night that they couldn’t change changed everything and they went different ways. I really liked all these characters but Luke I didn’t care too much from him from the start. He did grow on me but he has a few sins of his own. It does seem everyone has sins that they will carry until their dying day. So much hurt and pain you will be twisted as to who you feel for the most. There will be a few places where you will say OH NO. There is sorrow and lots of pain but it does have a HAE. I see this is a series. I am looking forward to seeing how Luke’s story ends.

I was really excited about this book, & couldn't wait to get my hands on it. But then I finally got it & I just didn't fell inlove with the story or the characters at all. The story for me felt too rushed & it was too short for my liking.

--I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

The story of Riley and Hudson was sweet and loving. JS Cooper gave us the different point of views from each of the main characters. From the time Riley was 6, Hudson has played a large part in her life. From teasing her to becoming her protector, Hudson grew into a strong, resilient man. Once fighting Channing, and almost dying, he worked through his guilt and was able to move on with a relationship with Riley. I thought the two of them had incredible chemistry. The secondary characters of Luke and Eden, Justin and Clara made the story interesting. Looking forward to book 2.

M Capehart as always creates a cast of characters that are fun to listen to. Her voice is warm and sultry.

    I love J.S. Cooper!!

What did you like best about this story?

I love J.S. Cooper's books. This one was sweet, a funny, heart warming. It had a little of everything I love in books.

What about M. Capehart’s performance did you like?

A narrator can make or break an audio book and I think she did great. I loved the way her voice sounded, the way the did the inflections and the different characters, voices.
