Dark Prince (Dragon Lords)
Futuristic Dragonshifting Romance Revised Expanded Anniversary Edition
Out of the fire...
Intergalactic thief, Olena Leyton is one of the best space pirates in history. Sailing the high skies in search of adventure is in her blood.
When her crew is scattered in a run from the law and her ship crashes, exploding into a ball of flames, the injured Olena is forced to find sanctuary on a Galaxy Brides ship. Posing as a blushing "mail-order" bride to elude the bounty hunters that pursue her, Olena finds herself heading to the primitive planet of Qurilixen. But, being a bride isn't something that Olena takes seriously. Into the flames...
Prince Yusef of Draig, Captain of the Outpost, leads a simple life away from the palace. He knows from the first moment he sees his fiery temptress that he will possess her and make her his bride for all time. However, Yusef learns that playing with fire will always leave a man burned. But, with passions as powerful as this dark Prince's are, he is not willing to give up his bride without a fight.

The narration and characters! I especially liked Olena and Prince Yusef. Olena is a space pirate, who's feisty and brave. She's determine to leave the planet, and not fall for Prince Yusef; however, each heated moment Prince Yusef and her share, she's falling more and more for him...... now if only she could admit it!
When Prince Yusef was attached and Olena sensed he was hurt, she was determined to break free of her captures, and go to his aid. While he was recovering, Olena never left his side and I loved all the things she did to him in an attempt to bring him out of his comma.
I've listened to a lot of Mason Lloyd lately. Two totally different series, which I am currently listening too, are narrated by Mason and he does an excellent job!
"The Pirate and the Dragon Prince"
This is a wonderful story about a woman who lived by the Pirate's Code and finds love in the most unusual place. Olena's ship is shot down and she is close to being captured. She escapes by signing up to be a Galaxy Bride heading to the planet of Qurilixen and the Breeding Festival. She is the first bride to walk off the ship and Yusef can't help but be enchanted. He would have taken her even if his crystal didn't glow. Olena accepts Yusef as her husband even though she never plans to stay. She refuses to tell him her name in the beginning, fights him to the point of drawing blood and ends up in chastisement. During her chastisement, the King and Queen hold a banquet to introduce the princesses to the kingdom. However, Olena is left at home tied to the bed. She is kidnapped by the Var and Yusef is stabbed in the back. He is injured so badly that he is in a coma. Olena is rescued by the King and other princes. She stays by him in the hospital and gets to finally wake up. When the final battle with Nadja's father comes, she has to decide who she will be loyal to.
Prince Yusef is my favorite character. He is so patient and loving with Olena even though she does everything she can to scare him off. His obsession with her when he first sees her then his love for her as he gets to know her is obvious to everyone but Olena.
My favorite scene was when Olena first gets to the medical ward in the palace and refuses to leave Yusef's side until he awakens. She is willing to try just about anything to get him to wake up from his coma.
Pirate Captain meets her match in a Dragon Prince
I loved this book. The narrator does a great job bringing the story to life.
Dark Prince is the story of Prince Yusef and the Pirate Olena. Olena must find a place to hide from those that are pursuing her and ends up as bride to a dragon shifting prince. Olena tries to stay true to her pirate spirit and not fall in love with Yusef. The prince does what he can to make Olena stay. He already knows some of the truth about her and is waiting patiently to hear it for himself.
Their chemistry is off the charts and yet Olena keeps Yusef at bay. Olena seems to be accident prone in her independence and desire to stay away from Yusef’s bed. But desire also heats up between them, Yusef burns for Olena. Will they combust before Olena is found by those seeking her? Listen and find out!
I normally do not listen to narrators that are men since their high pitched renditions of female voices bother me. However, Mason Lloyd did the Dark Prince justice in presenting the mood of the book and was not high pitched for the part of Olena. His voice was soothing enough without sending you to sleep, something the other drivers wouldn’t have appreciated.
I had previously listened to Perfect Prince and was already vaguely familiar with some of the events that involved Olena. I don’t believe that listening to previous books in the series was necessary to enjoy Dark Prince. This book did go into different details while staying true to the outline. I look forward to listening to the stories of the other princesses and how they handle their new husbands.
"The Pirate and Her Prince"
I have not read the print version
Prince Yusef. He has to endure all the verbal lashings from his new bride yet he keeps the willpower of a saint.
Yes just one and this one ranked much higher for me.
I found myself laughing a lot.
I was gifted this audible for my honest review.
"A MUST READ BOOK !!!"
Dark Prince is the third book in The Dragon Lords series by Michelle M. Pillow. It tells us the story of Yusef and Olena. Yusef is a dark but tender hearted Prince. Olena is a space pirate that comes from a tragic past. She gets on board the Galaxy Brides spaceship while running away from a bounty hunter. Once Yusef lays eyes on Olena he knows she is his mate and that she wont make claiming her easy for him.
I enjoyed this book. It well written and the characters are strong and multi layered. The book is full of romance, hot sexy Princes, danger, action, secrets and even some light humor. I love how each of the books in the series are about different couples yet are taken place at the same point in time. I think that is a unique story plot that I'm sure not all authors could pull off and so well. Good job Ms. Pillow.
I highly recommend this series. It's a really good read.

As always Mrs Pillow, has a clear winner. it only gets better with the invention of audio, i bought the book when it came out over ten years ago, god is it rarely that long ago, how time fly's when you have great books, the additional story line she has added, just made the book better fore me, i always thought the book could need some more. and that it got. I would clearly recommend this to anyone ho love romance, and Sci-fi.
"Dark Prince but better"
exciting retelling of story
When Nadja tells Olena she is pregnant
When Olena saved Nadja
Yes I didn't want to stop once I started it
"Love me some dragon shifters"
I think adding a voice like Mason Lloyd does a lot to the story, brings the characters and story to life, so yes, I think it is better.
I liked the other books I listened to in the Dragon Lords and they are great stories, they might be similar, but they all have something unique.
Yes, I did, "The Barbarian Prince" and this is much better. Love his voice, but yet again, fewer times than the last one, the tone didn't match what the character said.
Yes and no... Yes because the story was really good, no because I didn't want it to end. Enjoyable experience.
I love Ms. Pillow's world of Dragon Lords, I am hooked and I am looking forward to listening to the next one.
These audio books need a man for men's voices and a woman for women voices.
