Liberty minded individuals and those who believe in the Constitution will find this near future dystopian novel to be right up their alley. Those who are looking to be more informed about the potential threats to America's financial stability will learn what to watch for and how to prepare themselves for an economic collapse.
America is on the cusp of financial annihilation. Matt and Karen Bair face the challenges of Main Street during a full scale financial meltdown. Government borrowing and monetary creation have reached their limits. When funds are no longer available for government programs, widespread civil unrest erupts across the country. Matt and Karen are forced to move to a more remote location and their level of preparedness is revealed as being much less adequate than they believed prior to the crisis.
Meanwhile, Paul Randall, a third party presidential candidate arises to push back against the welfare and warfare spending that have bankrupted our country. While he has gained expansive acceptance, the fight has just begun. Paul Randall proposes a plan to mitigate the coming hyper-inflationary collapse which is a mathematical certainty. His plan is known as The American Exit Strategy.
American Exit Strategy uses survival fiction to take an in-depth look at the real life politics and economics behind the issues that are likely to trigger a currency collapse or financial meltdown in the near future.
American Exit Strategy is a work of fiction...until it becomes history.

Relatable, Possible, republican
Buggin out to be with Adam and the family, the robbery, the changing neighbourhood back home
Yes though his delivery doesn't flow to the same level that other narrators do, the warmth in his voice makes up for some of this though
the description of the farmhouse matt would look at buying
A little two dimensional on the characters, a little to obvious on the correlation on real life people being named incorrectly on purpose from real life like obama. I do agree with alot of the view points from the series tho and I do feel it shows somewhat a possible future, the fact that all the nations lend and borrow on gold that they do not currently owe, the fact that hyper inflation is a real concern world wide, and the impact on that. I feel that the government in these books is a little more extreme and I worry that the work may be dismissed summarily because of this despite a lot of the founding issues being relevant.
Really enjoyed the story line. I liked the pace and narrator. Looking toward to the next book in the series.
"great story that also teaches and inspires"
Mark Goodwin is an excellent author. his stories are educational and inspire. I will listen/read all his books.
"Unfortunately to close for comfort."
The book is eerily coming close to reality. On 5/20/16 not there yet but it's that's its headed in this direction. Well done Mark. May this Book bless those in some way.
The entire thing. Storyline, narrator, and for sure the Christian flavor.
We always love learning so much about the many aspects of preparing.
Absolutely, the information on preparation is threading throughout the story in a very easy flowing manner.
"Wow. Surprisingly excellent, Sobering."
Yes, I will listen again. Interesting, scary, credible scenario. I would like to listen again and go back to catch some things again. It is a good story.
Yes, I have listened to Kevin Pierce before. I have heard a few stories with him and I like him, I find his voice comfortable to listen to, good delivery, good pace.
The social, political perspective is a different point of view from my usual perspective, but it was well presented and gave me a lot to think about. I don't agree with everything but it's good to see things from various perspectives.
Loved the book and the great information! Although, it was written a few years ago It was eerie at times, at just how closely it resembled the current presidential run for office. I've already bought book two and I'm really looking forward to it.
"Not Your Average Prepper Novel"
No spoilers but this does not follow the usual storyline of say.... a Rawls novel. Get ready for a refreshing difference! Kevin Pierce has quickly become my favorite narrator and his performance here will not disappoint.
"Kevin Pierce, great narrator!"
Yes, the story was well done. The narration by Kevin Pierce has become the standard, the book was good but made great by Kevin.
There were so many memorable moments, it's hard to pick one. This book was hard to turn off, some of my chores were left undone.
"could very well happen"
This is about the most accurate description of what I believe will happen in America.
"An excellent well researched book"
This is one of the best depiction of the economic collapse facing America today. Our treasuries are emptying and our government continues to act as though the purse is bottomless. We are no longer citizens to the government we are now the assets and product that our government uses to feed its ever growing need for money and power. This book describes perfectly how I believe the downfall will come.
