Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

The hilarious number one best seller by comedian and author of Because of You and According to Yes, Dawn French.

Everyone hates the perfect family - so you'll love the Battles.

Meet Mo Battle, about to turn 50 and mum to two helpless, hormonal teenagers. There's 17-year-old daughter Dora who blames Mo for, like, EVERYTHING and Peter who believes he's quite simply as darling and marvellous as his hero Oscar Wilde. Somewhere, keeping quiet, is Dad, who's just, well...Dad.

However, Mo is having a crisis. She's about to do something unusually wild and selfish, which will leave the entire family teetering on the edge of a precipice.

Will the family fall?

Or will they, when it really matters, be there for each other?

A Tiny Bit Marvellous is the number one best-selling novel from one of Britain's favourite comic writers.

A Tiny bit Disappointing

I did have high expectations for this book as I listened to her wonderful other book first. A stolen baby and an amazing sacrifice at the end. I found this frantic at times, her teenage daughters rantings, it came across as each family member shouting to be heard. I found Dawn's narration irritating.

Lovely story..didn’t want it to end🙂

Dawn French’s amazingly descriptive writing, and her narration, is a joy to listen to.
I really liked the way the story was divided into many short chapters, into which each character’s part of the tale is told.
Enjoyed this book very much.

Uniqueness

Another fantastic read from Dawn French. A unique perspective from all the characters to form the story

Realistic family dynamics

This book was great and went through the rollercoaster of emotions and thought processes of all the family but without being far fetched
A very warm hearted humorous listen

More than a tiny bit marvellous

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. Told by godess herself (we bow to thee oh gracious Dawn French) you can imagine everything happening in this household with Dawn playing the leading role. The story is pleasantly dull for the first half of the book, and by that I mean that its a safe, day to day family, something I think all of us would aspire to have, with little drama (accepting the lovely character Dora)- and from half way onwards, becomes very slightly darker. A great twist in this tale, which I confess to not working out until right at the very end and which makes you smile, and sit back in your chair and smile again, and have a cup of tea and a biscuit. Beautifully written and delivered. If you want some light entertainment, I would highly recommend this one.

Written & narrated perfectly!

Narrated & written perfectly. I loved listening to Dawn French narrating her own fantastically written book. Every character is brought to life & before you know it, you are there with them all, wherever they may be. I simply can not fault anything about this audio book.

Hugely Marvellous!

I thoroughly enjoyed this, and was so pleased to have purchased the audible version as Dawn's various voices in character absolutely made it for me. I finished it last night and can't wait to listen again! I am of the same age as Mo in the book, with a teenage son; however, you don't need to be a mum or to be 50 something to enjoy it; a twist at the end which I wasn't expecting at all...............buy it and enjoy!

Yes. Brilliant story and well narrated.

Have you listened to any of Dawn French’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I have also listened to "Oh Dear Silvia" and thoroughly enjoyed both.
