An epic tale of revenge and love in a new romantic trilogy from the New York Times best-selling author of The Beauty Series.
Bleu MacAllister is consumed. A horrific childhood incident has caused every decision in her life to revolve around bringing a monster to justice. With years spent studying The Fellowship, a Scottish organized crime brotherhood of liars, thieves, and killers, Bleu will rely on her skills as a special agent to cut Thane Breckenridge off at the knees. But walking hand in hand with retribution means risking collateral damage, in the form of Breckenridge's son Sinclair - until Sin becomes so much more than Bleu bargained for. She's always known this undertaking would place her life in danger - she never imagined her heart would be as well.

"My kind of "Sin""
Suspense and passion all wound together for Bleu and Sin. Bleu, a strong heroine, is on a mission to avenger her mothers death but finds herself in the middle of the "fellowship", Scottish mob. Will Sin's love for Bleu be enough to keep these two together... Can he keep her safe now.... Can't wait to listen to the next book to see where the story takes me now.
Narration - It was ok but i had a very hard time when Antony tried to be the voice of Bleu. Had me irritated at first but i got over since the story was a good one.
"A SIN So Good"
Revenge, suspense and passion heat up this first book in the series about Sin and Bleu. Inot the world of the Scottish fellowship finding love was both dangerous and unlikely but the author makes this story come to life with possibilities. By the end, there's so much still up in the air. But it's okay because you'll be ready to listen to the next story right away.
My one complaint is with the narration, particularly when Antony voiced Bleu. I wouldnt suggest him as a narrator for female characters. It was distracting, if not a bit bothersome.
Good storyline and a enjoyable story to listen to I will listen to more from this author. "This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."
Mostly it is endless drudgery that has a beginning but goes nowhere. I gave up after 9 chapters
Others' comments are accurate. Any performance can have flaws. The narrators could take the remarks and use them to improve.
None that I heard. Sorry. It had a great premise and a lot of high ratings, but...........
"Great read romance and a mystery"
It's refreshing when a book has a great story to it. This not only has romance but a great suspense as well
Can't wait to read the second book
the narration and storyline on this book were absolutely phenomenal. from the first two chapters both narrators had me addicted. the characters, plot, flow, it was all fabulous. highly highly recommend this!
"Great Female Character"
This book was very interning. Kept my attention. I loved the female character in the book. Strong and smart and funny.
"Review of book 2 (see my book 2 instead)"
**I posted book 1 review on book 2. I can't figure out how to switch them yet***
This one is book 2:
The story picks up 3 months after Bleu ran out of Sin, leaving Edinburgh to return to Tennessee. Her father's cancer had a taken a turn for the worse and her cover had been blown by Sinclair's sociopath uncle Abram.
Sinclair has no other choice but to rescue his Bonnie Bleu and convince her that he loves her regardless of her lies and they are stronger together than apart.
They realize marriage will give her the protection and loyalty of the fellowship so they take the plunge. But not before Bleu's family finally meet the man who has been the subject of years of surveillance. While Bleu and Sin's relationship is cemented, Abram sees his opportunity to lead the Fellowship slipping away. Abram's claim will be quashed if Sin takes his rightful spot and produces a male heir. So while Sin and Abram receive joyous news, and everyone appears excited
Abram and the 3rd player in the game of power (The Order) make their move. The Fellowship and the Order's war escalates with Bleu caught in the middle. What is Sin willing risk for Bleu's life when the Order finds the chink in sin's armor?<
I can see why people thought this book was a bit slower than book 1. There was a lot of focus on family, both Bleu's American Family and Sin's family in Edinburgh. We begin to see who the players are and where the loyalties lie. A lot of setup and more world building in this book. I also found that both Bleu and Sin grew individually and as a couple. I continue to find the story intriguing and can't wait for what the author has in store for us with Sin's bid for total control against his Uncle Abrams. Also, I am quite anxious for revelation of the murderer that almost claimed Bleu's life.
"THE PLAN WAS SIMPLE... BUT THEN LOVE TOOK OVER"
Bleu grew up with one purpose, one goal.... to get revenge on the man who killed her Mother, her dog, changed her life and tried to kill her when she was just 7 yrs old. So she studied, practised and learned the necessary skills for her revenge and eventually joined the FBI to gain all the knowledge she could for her sole mission.... killing Thane Breckenridge the Scottish Leader of The Fellowship a renowned and vicious criminal gang. Her plan was simple - get close to his handsome son Sin and then kill his Father.... but slowly her well thought out plan fell apart because sexy Sin turned out to be far more of a distraction than she was expecting which drew her into his world and she just couldn't walk away. However, in the end, the decision was taken away from her and she had only one choice left...... run.
Once I started this I just couldn't stop as Bleu's plan slowly takes root and she becomes closer to Sin who, despite his reputation, is thoughtful, kind and a caring lover who proves, over and over again, his loyalty to Bleu and what he's willing to go through to keep her safe. There's intrigue, tension, bloodshed, passion and sex as the story builds to it's climactic cliffhanger ending.... and joy of joys all the books in this entertaining trilogy were released at the same time so no drawn out pauses, no waiting months and no forgetting bits of the story. So I'm eager to see where and how the story will continue and what impact the revelation will have on the two lovers.
Dual POV's but the narrators couldn't successfully pull off the opposite sex's voice so it takes a bit of effort to overlook this and just focus more on the entertaining and riveting story.
Worth a credit? Although this lost a star because of the awkward narration it's still a very creditworthy listen.
