Summary
DARPA's AI, built and programmed to "fulfill humanity's highest values," has made a decision. The problem with Earth is the humans. Two centuries pass and the DARPA AIs have multiplied into an android race, and spread throughout the solar system and beyond. When faced with a mutant AIs race bent on consuming everything around them, the DARPA AIs search through history in hopes of finding a way to stop them.
They stumble upon the long forgotten knowledge of the electronic copy of Ezekiel's brain. AI Ezekiel has human emotions—the very thing the DARPA AIs lack to survive the coming fight. Though Ezekiel was reactivated to help the DARPAs' win the war, his humanistic contribution to this artificial intelligent race will reach well beyond this universe.

Good start, Weak finish.

The book started off well but once we got to the first space battle my suspension of disbelief was broken beyond repair.
Faced with an enemy that could annihilate them, in a situation where containment is the highest priority they somehow manage to lose a ship to boarding party without any mention of a selfdestruct mechanism to prevent losing control of their ship. Let alone using their WMD with a million mile range.
These new robots are just below average intelligence humans overcome by new emotions. I guess their minds just can't handle all these paradoxes that keep popping up in their minds and neither can my mind.
