Summary

When Toru Kamiya is pushed into falsely confessing his love to Maori Hino, she tells him she’ll date him on three conditions. 1) Don’t talk to her until after school. 2) Keep any communication between them concise. 3) Don’t really fall in love. Unfortunately, he isn’t able to keep the last rule—and when he tells her how he feels, she reveals that she has an illness that prevents her from remembering anything that happened the previous day, and that she uses a diary to keep track. But Toru is determined to build a relationship with her, one day at a time…

A good romance with a twist

I liked the concept of the amnesia dating, it felt reminiscent of One Week Friends but as a couple, the story starts as what feels like a level-headed romcom without the excentric personalities but as the story develops, you grow to enjoy the characters for who they are. The final third introduces a big plot twist which seemingly comes out of nowhere, it's a great twist and makes the final third of the book really great but it does feel like it could of done with some ironing out. The performances was great, I think the three narrators did a fine job, my only quirk was Earl's voice for Izumi made her out to sound quit snobby but Yuuki's and Suzie's voice makes her out to be much more fitting to how she is played off. It's only a minor issue though as i understand it isn't easy voice females and its well done via prospective, it certainly didn't ruin it in anyway and he did a good job for Maori and himself so no harm no foul.

The book has some pretty good take away moments too, certainly gets you to appreciate to stuff in life which we take for granted (just living day-to-day), and some of the end twists got me feeling a little emotional so props to a good story.
