Summary
President Jack Spiers fled Washington DC on the heels of a devastating attack on CIA headquarters, masterminded by one of America's own, former General Porter Madigan. While the world believes Jack was killed in the bombing, he embarks on a wild infiltration mission, smuggling himself into occupied Russia to rescue the love of his life: former Secret Service Agent and First Gentleman Ethan Reichenbach.
Reunited, Jack, Ethan, and deposed Russian president Sergey Puchkov, along with President Elizabeth Wall - the only person left in Washington DC who Jack trusts - must work together. They piece together a desperate plan, hunting Madigan to the ends of the earth and the bitter frigidity of the Arctic, where Madigan's world-shattering doomsday plan comes together.
Outnumbered, outmaneuvered, and outgunned, Jack, Ethan, Sergey, and the rest of the team struggle to put a stop to Madigan and his army. In the desolate extremes of the Arctic, their resolve, their strength, and even their love is tested, pushed to the absolute limits as choices must be made: choices that pit the fate of the world against the love in their hearts, and the loves of their life.

Far fetched but great fun!
Have really enjoyed this series. V. Nicely written characters with an action packed storyline. Did find it all got a little silly but I just embraced it in the end. Some great twists and turns to the point where I literally exclaimed out loud in surprise at one point. Narrator did a great job, Russian accent was questionable but tbf better than mine! Thumbs up!

Enjoyable
I have absolutely loved this series. Great balance of action, varied plot lines, character development, relationship development, theoretical plausible situations delivered in a Hollywood action thriller way. Compared to the previous books I found myself sometimes rolling my eyes at things like the trust they put in enemies, and Adam’s behaviour, and occasionally my attention drifted off when the book lulled. However, those times never lasted for long and it would have been a five star book otherwise. I really hope this author publishes more audiobooks as they’re a very talented writer. Highly recommend this series.

Relentless White-Knuckle Ride!
EW stuck the triumphant landing but getting there was an unrelenting adrenaline ride of mental tension and heart-burning suspense. There was cruelty, brutality, pulse-pounding mayhem and yet happiness, soul-stirring relief and romantic moments. For me, Tal Bauer's exploration of the enemy within was outstanding! It began with Madigan’s moles in EOTS; while characters faced their own inner enemies of self-doubt, self-loathing and crippling fear in EOME. The enemy within spotlighted in EW was the social groupings from which we expect acceptance but find corruption viz. blood relatives, found family, religion (Islam) and brothers-in-arms. My summary does scant justice to Tal Bauer’s complex but beautifully layered story that balanced grim and grace, brain and brawn, romance and suspense and you had best believe, added a dash of esotericism!
🎧 John Solo's Russian accent remained atrocious and villains were inspired by Disney cartoons. Also, many key characters had stilted speech patterns so dialogue was sometimes odd and unnatural. Why 3 Stars? Mr. Solo sweated the details. EW’s cast of characters was massive with multiple points of view in divergent locations yet JS performed each person distinctly and each location had its own vibe. Mr Solo did enough to create an immersive listening experience for me.

Mind Blown....
This series has felt like an epic climb up to the summit of the Himalayan mountains !
I feel like I've lived with Jack, Ethan, Sergei, Sasha, Scott, Adam, Faisal and so many more men for months. I thought the story would never conclude ! But what a heart stopping story it is, non stop action and treachery in many forms.
10 stars for the story and 10 stars for the story teller. If there were any mistakes I never heard any, it was so good .

Just where IS the Artic Mr Solo??
Well, John kept doing it...Artic instead of Arctic, Sosha and then Sasha, but overall a good ending [??] to this monster of a series.
***Book Review***
5 stars for the series as a whole. I did guess who the traitor was in the White House, so go me for that one, but as far as Adam's team was concerned, not a bl**dy clue I'm afraid 😏.
Tal must have spent months researching all of the different aspects of the story, and congrats to him and his team for doing such a stellar job.
