Summary
La joven modista Sira Quiroga abandona Madrid en los meses previos a la Guerra Civil, arrastrada por el amor desbocado hacia un hombre. Juntos se instalan en Tánger, una ciudad mundana, exótica y vibrante donde todo lo impensable puede hacerse realidad. Incluso la traición y el abandono.
Sola y acuciada por deudas ajenas, Sira se traslada a Tetuán, la capital del Protectorado español en Marruecos. Con argucias inconfesables y ayudada por amistades de reputación dudosa, forja una nueva identidad y logra poner en marcha un selecto atelier en el que atiende a clientas de orígenes remotos y presentes insospechados.

Muy satisfecha
Ya conocía la historia porque vi la serie que transmitieron mientras vivía en España en el año 2013. Aún así quise escucharla en audio libro porque la experiencia que tuve con La Templanza, de la misma autora, fue muy positiva y me interesaba ver cuanto fiel al libro fue la serie.
La historia es entretenida y muy interesante, llena de personajes entrañables y de paisajes encantadores. Una novela histórica en toda regla.
La narradora me gustó mucho porque, con su voz, transmitió la variedad de emociones que la autora quiso que el lector viviera junto a Sira.
La disfruté mucho y la recomiendo ampliamente.

Excellent novel with historical background
Beautiful prose narrated in first person with an engaging spy story and colorful descriptions of the characters, places and historical context. Highly recommended. The performance is outstanding and enhances the audiobook experience.
