El corazón delator es un cuento de Edgar Allan Poe es considerado un clásico de la literatura gótica y una de sus obras más importantes. Fue publicado por primera vez en 1843 en el periódico The Pioneer. Poe lo republicó en 1845 en su periódico Broadway Journal. La historia presenta a un narrador obsesionado con el "ojo de buitre" de un anciano con el cual convive y al cual decide asesinar. No hay relación aparente entre víctima y asesino, pero se ha sugerido que el anciano representa a la figura paterna, y que su "ojo de buitre" puede sugerir algún secreto inconfesable. La ambigüedad y la falta de detalles acerca de los dos personajes principales están en agudo contraste con el detallismo con que se recrea el crimen.
