Die TARDIS landet auf Coldstar, einem gewaltigen Tiefkühl-Satelliten. Er ist mit viel Proviant beladen und kann eine ganze Welt von Kolonien ernähren. Allerdings gibt es Risse im Eis, und irgendetwas krabbelt unter dem Boden herum. Bald treffen Rose und der Doktor auf Roboter, Weltraumpiraten und - Müllwagen.
