Editor reviews

Morris Gleitzman gives a delightful performance of his poignant, funny novel Doubting Thomas. His dulcet voice and intimate delivery create the perfect atmosphere for this heartwarming audiobook about family and growing up. Eleven-year-old Thomas has a mom, dad, and older sister, Alisha. Everything was going fine in his life until two weeks prior, when he was hit with a strange affliction. Now when he lies, his nipples become unbearably itchy. How embarrassing! His friends Kevin and Holly attempt to help him find a cure.

Summary

In this latest release from the author of Once and Aristotle's Nostril, Morris Gleitzman reads his funny, clever, and poignant story about family, travel and telling the truth. Gleitzman's brilliant comic style has endeared him to adults and children alike and has made him one of Australia's favorite authors.

Thomas is eleven and lives with his mum and dad and big sister, Alisha. He was a pretty normal kid until two weeks ago, when he discovered he had developed a startling new ability. Every time anyone tells a lie, Thomas develops a violent itch in his nipples. It's uncomfortable, embarrassing, and gets Thomas into all sorts of trouble. He just wants it to go away. So with the help of his two friends, Holly and Kevin, he sets out to find a cure.
