Summary

Things are looking up for Penny Robinson. She's kicked her gambling addiction and even started her own business: Princess on a Shoestring, an all-inclusive service for brides-to-be.

Penny's got it all under control, that is until a rival planner decides to take her down - one hard-won bride at a time. And when a romantic weekend away has some unexpected consequences, Penny's expectations for her career are brought back down to earth with a bump.

Critic reviews

"A real feel-good story with loads of laughs, twists, tears. The characters are all lovable and the story is totally addictive. Highly recommended." ( The Chicklit Club on Don’t Tell the Groom)

not quite as good as the previous books

I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as the previous books in the series, I found the @s and email addresses at the beginning of each chapter really tedious there really was no need to put everything each time before the messages.
Again there was frustration with Penny being a bit dense as to what was happening when it was so obvious from pretty much the start, you'd think she'd have learnt from things happening in the previous stories.

Fun listen

Enjoyed the series, it got better with each book. Book 1 was really just okay but thanks to reviewers I decided to continue. Everything about the next 2 books was better, especially the narration and definitely more laughs. Now wish there was more in the series.

Lovely easy listening

I've listened to all 3 books in the series this week - great easy listening to potter around to. I hope there's another installment.

Another great book

Loved this series although I didn’t realise it was a series to begin with and started at book 2 don’t tell the boss, before listening to this one, I haven’t listened to book 1 don’t tell the groom because I already know what’s going to happen through books 2 & 3 however my only issue with this one was the continuous email addresses being read at the beginning of every chapter…. It was tedious, other than that I have no complaints and look forward to hearing more from this author

BOOK 3 WAS JUST AS GREAT ! 4 STAR'S 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I love UNABRIDGED recordings. This listen was as good as book 1 & 2 ~ I loved it!

I have only ever listened to 1 other book about a wedding planner before by a different author. Normally, it's not something I come across in a book but I have enjoyed ALL 3 books in this series.

These books have made me laugh out loud whilst also tackling a gambling addiction and the author really did well in the balance of that subject.

I love romantic comedies and Chicklit listens especially with twists and turns.
I really would love Anna Bell to bring out a 4th book as I thought the epilogue would have been 1 year on.

I am now a fan of Anna Bell as I have 7 of her books in my library and they are great!

The narrator Penelope Rawlins was not good in BOOK 1 "Don't tell he Groom" as she couldn't really do female voices very well, they all sounded like men BUT in BOOK 2 "Don't tell the boss" I realised that the narrator had really improved and now listening to "Don't tell the bride's to be" Penelope Rawlins has smashed it!

All the female characters were extremely well voiced and she even did different accents which a narrator should be able to do considering it's their job.

Yes I recommend this listen if you want a great laugh at the goings on in the life of a Wedding Planner👍

I love being a member of Audible as I get access to the plus catalogue

Too sweet for words

The storyline is too sugary, and the reading matches it! Please only choose if you want "drama to show happy ending" in full technicolour!
