Wonderful

Although I have read all the Longmire books, I’m enjoying listening to them so much more! The narrator fits the image I have of Walt to perfection, and I have to say I’m up there with all of Walt’s females fans in Durant, he’s my favourite law man.

Fascinating characters and many twists and turns

This a very dense and interesting book, touching on complex issues but with several laugh-out-loud moments. Wyoming is a foreign country to me here in the UK but I was hooked. I’m looking forward to the next one in the series. The narrator deserves a special mention, he’s now my joint favourite with Jim Meskimmen who narrates the Gabriel do Pre series. Brilliant.

Dry humour & very accomplished.

Very funny if you’re paying attention, & a great plot with the grotesque violence that appears in so many crime novels. Real depth in all the key characters. Really enjoyable.

Incredible

Love the balance of this book, builds up the suspense with every page and the ending..

As you expect from the Longmire series this book and the audio doesn’t disappoint, I have and recommend both especially the audio as George Guidall becomes Walt.

Back to the ending , Well you’ll just have to take the Craig Johnson journey and immerse yourself in life of Absaroka community.

Loving this series!!

Wonderfully read, wonderfully paced. Love the twists and turns in the story. The characters make you want to stay in on a windy day and keep them company.

OK but a bit slow.

Love the description of the the small communities in an area which I know slightly. It was well narrated but I struggled with the slow pace and keeping track of the characters. My second book in this series, will try another but no rush
