Summary
After her promotion from law firm Runner to Investigator, Kathleen Turner is learning the ropes of her new job from none other than assassin-for-hire Kade Dennon, a situation her boyfriend, Blane Kirk, is none too happy about. But the lessons with Kathleen take a back seat when Kade becomes a target. Previously untouchable, his enemies now know of the chink in his armor - his brother’s girlfriend.
And Kade’s not the only thing coming between Kathleen and Blane. From Blane’s inexplicable defense of a man guilty of a horrible crime, to a mysterious stranger from Kathleen’s past, to Kathleen’s risky investigation into human traffickers, the obstacles mount against a relationship that’s just begun to find trust again. While Blane considers a job offer that would take him back to the front lines in the war on terror, Kathleen is determined to pursue her new career, with or without his approval. Romantic thrills..
Best to start with book one 'Turning Point' in this series else you would probably get lost,
Alot more action in this one then the previous two and just as good if you like thriller suspense action with a very uncomfortable would be love triangle. I kinda felt for Kathleen in this one, she's standing firm in her choice, not that it is going to last if the backdoor politic machinations and the other brother has any say.
Blane is not very popular as he is defending a rapist who is guilty, a family member of Kathleen's pops up after years and Kade is being targeted for extermination. Add in the kidnapping and selling of young women, with some very powerful supporters I was not bored.
But I kinda wanted to knock Kade's and Blanes head together, Blane for being so controlling and not seeing Kathleen as she really is, and Kade for sneaking around his brothers back and making matters worse.Still it made for a great romantic tense listen with Angela Dawes narration I just had to keep on listening.
Looking forward to Book 4 on my automatic reading list.

Brilliant!
The Kathleen Turner series is one of my all time favourites and I'm so glad that I bought the audio version too as the narrator brought the characters to life. Brilliant!
