After the breakup of her marriage, Evie takes the holiday of a lifetime: a few weeks of hiking, rafting and jungle adventure at an eco-lodge in Mexico.
But nothing is quite what it seems. There are secrets hidden that can't be allowed to leave their jungle hiding place.
If she is ever to see her son again, Evie will be forced to find reserves of strength, courage, and ingenuity she never dreamt existed.

Didn't really enjoy this book, it started ok but I struggled with the story after a while. I've enjoyed other books by this author but unfortunately this wasn't one of them.
As a recently retired "young" pensioner! I now have more time to read and listen to Audio Books as I renovate my house in Spain.
I love this writers work and have waited with baited breath for his latest release. Sadly it was not his best book. Greg Hurwitz writes for TV and I think this would have made an excellent drama. but as a book, it lost some of the impact that could have been very effective visually. The narration was good but it still seemed to go on too long as a written piece. I will still wait eagerly for Greg Hurwitz next book!
I checked out the reviews on Amazon before ordering, and as I have previously enjoyed books by this author took the plunge.
I am sorely disappointed, the story could have been fine, a little over the top, but ok! However, the element of Muslim terrorism somehow managed to jump into the story for no apparent reason. Frankly I don't know whether I will be able to finish this book, it is way too daft and over the top, and frankly unpleasant!
