Oh Penny….
This is absolutely brilliant and shows Alan Partridge at his very best. So many quotable lines and captures the absurdity of the Coronation. Can’t wait for season three now.

I do recall such a meeting…
Mr Partridge. And I did indeed promise you the position of anchor during the next coronation. Obviously, we were thinking of different types of anchor, I saw you as more underseas correspondent. Having reviewed this performance I do think the BBC should have made you official anchor or perhaps should introduce a policy of compulsory drinking of champagne during such events. Your performance was coronatory marvelousness.
