In this Christmas special 'Molokai' - It's Christmas morning, but when Carolyn schedules an extra stop-off to the Hawaiian island of Molokai, Arthur has just seven minutes to celebrate Christmas. Stephanie Cole, Benedict Cumberbatch & Roger Allam star in the second series of the hit sitcom about the tiny charter airline for whom no job is too small, but many, many jobs are too difficult. By John Finnemore ('The News Quiz', 'That Mitchell & Webb Sound'). Run by the forbidding divorcée Carolyn Knapp-Shappey (an unfortunate marriage, name wise, but in Carolyn's opinion, marginally better than Carolyn Shappey-Knapp), her two pilots are the smooth, experienced and almost-certainly-fired-by-a-big-airline-for-all-round naughtiness Douglas, and struggling almost-competent pilot and sweaty man Martin. All-round help is provided by Carolyn's near-idiot son, Arthur.

Another great episode of this brilliant radio comedy.
There is ionly one negative ITS TOO SHORT. Come on BBC lets have some more
Laser engineer who spends a lot of time in his car - audiobooks are great
This Christmas special is definitely no turkey. It was hilarious, Arthur's carol singing particularly had me in stitches
just brilliantiant, the only thing that would make it better would be if it was twice the length. cabin pressure just gets better and better. funniest radio series in decades. great writing, running gags and character development which is rare in comedy. impossible not to laugh even on sixth listen.
John Finnemore deserves a medal for the Cabin Pressure programmes. I played this to my husband on a car journey and we were both laughing so much we over shot our Motorway exit
Recently retired, full of beans, finding new things to do - one of which is listening to audio books. Always been a great reader.
As a one-off from the regular series, this is up to standard. Witty, full of funny moments and I would recommend without hesitation.
I usually hate "Christmas Specials" in any TV or Radio series. They seem to just be an excuse for the writers to slack off and give us sappy platitudes.
But the Cabin Pressure: Molokai Christmas Special is the exception to the rule. It does relate to Christmas, but in an intelligent way, with dialog and a story that, if possible, is even better than usual.
"Funny, funny, funny!"
I love the Cabin Pressure series. They are all hilarious.
The other Cabin Pressure series.
I've got all the Cabin Pressure series and I listen to them over and over again. This is at the high standard you can expect, not only from John Finnemore's writing, but also from Stephanie Cole, Roger Allam, Benedict Cumberbatch and John Finnemore as performers.
I don't want to mention my favourite moment as it's a spoiler - it's the very end - and as Arthur says it's Brilliant!
John Finnemore is a genius, and he proves it again with this hysterical Christmas special. I usually listen while I drive, and I almost drove off the road laughing when the bit about the umbrella unfolds in the cockpit. Pure genius, I tell ya. Loved every moment! :)
"A funny wonderful series!"
I just love Cabin Pressure. I was suprised to see this little gem and enjoyed it very much. They always make me laugh out loud!
"Hilarious, as ever"
I was thrilled to find that there was another episode of Cabin Pressure I hadn't listened to yet. It really cracks me up. The voice talent is just top notch.
Arthur's rendition of God Bless You Merry Gentlemen is just brilliant!!! I hit the thirty second rewind button nearly five times and each I was crackin' up laughin'! John Finnemore is just too funny!!! Oh, and the name games are great!!!
Arthur is my favorite character, because he hilariously tries so hard!!
My favorite scene was the opening when Arthur comes in singing, "Get dress you merry gentlemen!"
When Douglas gave Arthur the knowledge of the international date line so that he would understand that his gets to have another Christmas day in Hawaii!
Usually I am not a big fan of Christmas specials, but this was a fun episode.
This might get add to my annual Christmas listening!
Benedict Cumberbatch is simply hilarious as the nervous, regulation-stickler Captain.
