This was my first book by this author and I overall enjoyed the story line and the characters. I liked the second chance romance aspect of the story. I did feel like the story felt a little rushed at times. There was a lot fit in this shorter story, and while the story left on a positive note, it still felt open ended/unfinished. I think this was done purposely by the author to set up future books in the series, but I don't think I was a huge fan of this style if I am being honest. I do think the book was well written and I was invested in the story. I think the audiobook was well done. Sarah Puckett, Lee Daniels and Tim Paige were truly fantastic and brought forth all the emotions this story warranted. I would highly recommed them all. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

About the story: Their romance and reconnection is very rushed. Given he broke her heart, Hope was unbelievably open to forgiving him. But overall, both characters were written to be caring, sweet and understanding characters and I liked how they interacted with each other. I did find Hope's behavior a little irrational given where the couple was in their relationship but I guess stress and depression could affect rational behavior.
The audiobook was wonderfully done. Sarah Puckett has the most beautiful, smooth voice and I loved listening to her narration. She played the multiple roles so well and even did a fantastic distinction between Hope and her twin sister Faith. Lee Daniels and Tim Paige also did wonderful narrations (some of this story was told from Faith's perspective as well as Logan's perspective (Logan is Levi's cousin). This sets up for a future story in the series. The narration does a fantastic job of elevating the emotional aspect of this story.
