The radio play of Ticklepot was awarded a Gold Medal for Best Children's Radio Programme in the World in New York in 1989 and bronze medals 1990 and 1991. It was also awarded an International Award for Literacy. Peter Combe was awarded three ARIAs for Best Children's Album.
